After the Leftās attempts to smear the Covington Catholic High School students failed, Michael Knowles pointed to a clear comparison to the debacle: Brett Kavanaugh. The Kavanaugh witch-hunt was similar in a number of ways, but why does the Left do this? Michael Knowles had the answers on Wednesdayās episode of āThe Michael Knowles Show.ā
After playing a clip of NBCās interview with Covington student Nick Sandmann, Knowles pointed out how the incident quickly devolved into an out of control media storm.
āSo, he handled himself with incredible maturity, incredible restraint. Youāll remember, by the way, the comparisons between this and Brett Kavanaugh,ā Knowles said. āI wouldāve gone the Kavanaugh route, I wouldāve gone out there guns a blazing. āNo Savannah, Iām not sorry, I still like beer, I like beer, sometimes I drink too much. When I drink too much I donāt bang drums in teenagersā faces cause Iām a normal person, not a lunatic, I donāt disrupt vigil masses.ā This is the Kavanaugh incident.ā
He continued: āThey might as well call it Kavanaughvington High School at this point in Kentucky. The parallels are exact. And there are people, by the way, members of the media who posted pictures of the two of them because for some people what this is really about is how much they hate white guys, specifically conservative white guys. Nathan Phillips is Christine Blasey Ford here, heās even a little kookier, just a little bit. Thatās what it is, heās Christine Blasey Ford. Nathan Phillips is a demonstrable liar whose story keeps changing and who the mainstream media keep giving cover to, even after the story changes and changes and changes.ā
āIāve never seen people more excited to destroy a someoneās life since Brett Kavanaugh. They were begging to destroy it,ā Knowles added. āBrett Kavanaugh is not a teenager, though you wouldāve thought he was a teenager from everything they were talking about. What he did when he was 16. What was written in his high school yearbook? Itās unbelievable the parallels. And they really wanted to destroy this guy Brett Kavanaugh who had unimpeachable character, Federal judge for 12 years, no one ever questioned his integrity until Donald Trump appointed him for something. What about this poor kid, what did this kid ever do? He wore a Make America Great Again hat, he associated with a symbol that Donald Trump uses. So, they had to destroy him.ā
Video and transcript below:
Now weāre seeing the replay of this Brett Kavanaugh incident. Weāre seeing the replay almost exactly with this kid Nick Sandmann who was the leader of the Covington students. He was the one sitting there, standing there while the Native American banged a drum in his face. So now heās getting the full Kavanaugh treatment. He was brought on the āTodayā show to discuss his experience.
Savannah Guthrie: Do you feel from this experience that you owe anybody an apology? Do you see your own fault in any way?
Nick Sandmann: As far as standing there, I had every right to do so. My position is that I was not disrespectful to Mr. Phillips. I respect him, Iād like to talk to him. I mean, in hindsight I wish we couldāve walked away and avoided the whole thing, but I canāt say that Iām sorry for listening to him and standing there.
NBC: This morning, 16-year-old Nick Sandmann standing by his actions in this moment gone viral. The junior at Kentuckyās Covington Catholic High School, now the face of this Lincoln Memorial confrontation with Native American elder Nathan Phillips.
First of all, no he isnāt. Nathan Phillips is the face of the confrontation because he started the confrontation. He marched up out of nowhere and started banging a drum in some poor kidās face. āHe is the face of the confrontation.ā The victim of the confrontation is Nick Sandmann, this kid. But I love his answer, I would not have had the restraint that he has. I wouldnāt have had the restraint in the National Mall. I wouldnāt have had the restraint on the āTodayā show. So, do you apologize for your actions? Do you feel bad for what you did? He said, āNo, I donāt feel sorry for standing and having a Native American bang a drum in my face. Iām not sorry, thatās not a sin.ā I donāt know how familiar you are with mortal and venial sins, but this is not a sin to stand there and take abuse from some lunatic Native American activist banging a drum in my teenage face, you are a freaking hack.
So, he handled himself with incredible maturity, incredible restraint. Youāll remember, by the way, the comparisons between this and Brett Kavanaugh. I wouldāve gone the Kavanaugh route, I wouldāve gone out there guns a blazing. āNo Savannah, Iām not sorry, I still like beer, I like beer, sometimes I drink too much. When I drink too much I donāt bang drums in teenagersā faces cause Iām a normal person, not a lunatic, I donāt disrupt vigil masses.ā This is the Kavanaugh incident. Nathan Phillips is a demonstrable liar whose story keeps changing and who the mainstream media keep giving cover to, even after the story changes and changes and changes. Sarah Sanders put it perfect.
Sarah Sanders: Iāve never seen people so happy to destroy a kidās life. When that becomes the norm in the media in America simply because theyāre associated with this President, that is disgraceful and that should never happen. Letās hope that this is a lesson to all of the media, to everyone. Letās focus on getting things right, not getting them first.
Iāve never seen people more excited to destroy a someoneās life since Brett Kavanaugh. They were begging to destroy it. Brett Kavanaugh is not a teenager, though you wouldāve thought he was a teenager from everything they were talking about. What he did when he was 16. What was written in his high school yearbook.
