Kevin Hart Says He’s Done Apologizing To The Mob: ‘I’m Literally Over That’

Comedian Kevin Hart deserves all the applause he can get for refusing to cave into the social justice mob and issue a groveling apology to everyone he has ever offended with his past jokes.

Speaking with ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, the “Jumanji” star refused to explain to the hosts on how he has “evolved” since making his past jokes satirizing his own insecurity over the prospect of having a gay son.

“I’m done with it,” Hart told host Michael Strahan. “It gets no more energy from me. … There’s no more conversation about it. I’m literally over that. I’m over the moment. And I’m about today. I have explained how I’ve evolved, which makes me say, ‘I’m over it.’ I’m not saying how I’ve changed anymore. … I’m not giving no more explanation of who I am. I’ve done it. … You will not hear me saying anything else about it.”

According to HuffPo, the comedian’s words echo that of what he said on his Monday radio show on SiriusXM, “Straight From the Hart.”

“I shouldn’t have to prove who I am,” Hart said. “I shouldn’t have to prove the levels of love that I’m capable of giving. If anybody out there wants to believe that Kevin Hart is that much of a monster that he wouldn’t love somebody because of their choice in life, then all power to them.”

“You’re not getting no more of my energy from it,” he added. “I want everybody to know that I’m done with it. … I’m happy with me because I know the man I now am. That being said, I don’t have to prove that to anybody.”

Though Hart has had his share of defenders, including Ellen Degeneres, the LGBT mob continues to demand that the comedian fully submit and give everything they ask for. Earlier this week, CNN’s Don Lemon bemoaned the fact that Hart will not become an “LGBT ally.”

“If he doesn’t want to be an ally, if he doesn’t want to be a spokesman for the gay community, he does not have to do that. It’s his choice as an American,” Lemon stated. “On some level, you could understand for him that it may feel like he’s under attack, right? Because he’s in the middle of it. But I will tell you from me, as I relate to him and I can tell my part, he’s not a victim.”

Lemon continued: “So listen to what he’s saying there. He wants to be accepted, he wants us to accept him, he wants to be embraced on his own merits… isn’t that what the LGBT community wants? Isn’t that the same thing that they were asking for? To be embraced on their own merits and not be stereotyped and stigmatized?”

Kevin Hart had been slated to host the 2019 Oscars but stepped down within 48 hours of accepting the gig after the Academy demanded he apologize for his past jokes that some LGBT trolls found offensive.

“I’m not going to continue to go back and tap into the days of old when I moved on, and I’m in a completely different space in my life,” Hart said in a video on Instagram at the time. “I’m going to be me; I’m going to stand my ground.”

Hours later, Kevin Hart stepped down from his dream of hosting the Oscars and apologized to the LGBTQ community for his “insensitive words.”

“I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year’s Oscar’s….this is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists,” he wrote on Twitter. “I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past.”
