Kelly Osbourne and Nick Cannon have been named to take over hosting duties for Jamie Foxx on his show “Beat Shazam” after a “medical complication” landed him in the hospital three weeks ago, where he remains.
“‘Beat Shazam’ has been an unscripted mainstay on the FOX schedule for six seasons and counting,” read a statement from the show, which was shared by Foxx’s daughter Corinne on Wednesday, Fox News noted.
“This season, not wanting fans of the game show to miss a minute of the fun, Nick Cannon has offered to fill in as a guest host for his friends, Jamie and Corinne Foxx,” the statement added. “Kelly Osbourne will be filling in as guest DJ.”
“Everyone at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery, and we greatly appreciated Nick’s willingness to jump in and help this summer,” the statement continued.

Cannon will fill in for Foxx as host of the sixth season with Osbourne occupying the DJ booth for Corinne Foxx.
Foxx finally broke his silence on Wednesday, three weeks after his family confirmed he had been hospitalized for what they called “medical complications.” In Foxx’s post on Instagram, he didn’t address his current condition, the cause of his hospital stay, or when he would be getting out.
However, he did share a message of praise to all who have been praying for him following news of his mysterious illness.

“Appreciate all the love!!! “Foxx’s post read. “Feeling blessed.”
On April 12, the actor was admitted to the hospital for an undisclosed condition. At the time, the news was confirmed by Foxx’s daughter on her Instagram.
In Corinne’s post, she wrote, “From the Foxx Family: We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” as previously reported.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” she added. “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”
