Kelly Clarkson revealed she gets a bouquet of flowers from Taylor Swift after every new “Taylor’s Version” drops and the new “1989” release was no exception for the “Shake It Off” hitmaker.

During an interview with E! News, the 41-year-old pop singer and talk show host said Swift sent her flowers after the “Taylor’s Version” of her 2014 album “1989” came out and said it’s because Clarkson sent a tweet in 2019 suggesting Taylor re-record songs.

“She’s [Swift’s] so nice,” Clarkson told the outlet. “She did. She was like, ‘Every time I release something’—’cause she just did ‘1989.’ I got that really cute cardigan, too.”

“I love how kind she is though,” she added. “She’s a very smart businesswoman. So, she would have thought of that. But it just sucks when you see artists that you admire and you respect really wanting something and it’s special to them. You know if they’re going to find a loophole, you find a loophole. And she did it and literally is, like, the best-selling artist I feel like of all-time now.”

“It’s so cool to see a fanbase really get behind her in that too because it’s important,” Clarkson continued. “She’s known for being such an incredible songwriter and the soundtrack to a lot of people’s lives and that’s her life. So, you should have the option of owning that.”

In 2019, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” host saw how upset Swift was after Scooter Braun had acquired all of Swift’s master recordings as part of his purchase of Big Machine Records.

Clarkson suggested on X (Twitter at the time) that Swift should just re-record her songs.

“[taylorswift13] just a thought, [you] should go in & re-record all the songs that [you] don’t own the masters on exactly how [you] did them but put brand new art & some kind of incentive so fans will no longer buy the old versions,” Clarkson wrote. “I’d buy all of the new versions just to prove a point.”

The new “1989” marks the fourth album Swift has re-recorded. She only needs to re-record two more albums in order to own them all, her debut 2006 album titled “Taylor Swift” and “Reputation,” which came out in 2017.
