<p>Supermodel Kate Moss said on the stand Wednesday that ex-boyfriend Johnny Depp never pushed her down any stairs, seemingly contradicting testimony from Depp ex-wife Amber Heard.</p>
<p>Depp is suing Heard for defamation concerning domestic violence allegations he claims significantly hurt his Hollywood career.</p>
<p>&#8220;We were leaving the room, and Johnny left the room before I did, and there had been a rainstorm,&#8221; Moss recalled on the stand, discussing a Jamaican vacation she took with Depp during the 1990s. &#8220;And as I left the room, I slipped down the stairs and I hurt my back.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;And I scream &#8230; because I didn&#8217;t know what happened to me,&#8221; Moss continued, speaking via videoconference. &#8220;I was in pain and he [Depp] came running back to help me and carried me to my room and got me medical attention.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Did Mr. Depp in any way push you down the stairs?&#8221; Depp lawyer Ben Chew asked the model.</p>
<p>&#8220;No,&#8221; Moss responded.</p>
<p>&#8220;During the course of your relationship, did he ever push you down any stairs?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;No,&#8221; she said. &#8220;He never pushed me, kicked me, or threw me down any stairs.&#8221;</p>
<p>Moss&#8217; quick, clean testimony was not challenged by Heard&#8217;s team, which turned down an opportunity to cross-examine the model.</p>
<p>Depp’s team was looking forward to getting Moss on the stand, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/just-in-kate-moss-expected-to-testify-for-ex-johnny-depp-heres-what-we-know">The Daily Wire</a> reported earlier this week. According to a report from the New York Post, the actor’s legal team was spotted “fist-pumping” when Heard brought up Moss on the stand earlier this month, seemingly suggesting that Depp had pushed Moss down a staircase.</p>
<p>“I just, in my head, instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs, and I swung at him,” Heard said while testifying, telling the jury why she hit Depp during the alleged 2015 incident.</p>
<p>“Amber mentioned an ex of Johnny’s that clearly she felt was not supportive of him, which couldn’t be further from the truth,” a source told the Post following Heard’s testimony.</p>
<p>Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/johnny-depps-exes-winona-ryder-kate-moss-amber">reported</a> that Moss and Depp’s relationship had a “rocky start.”</p>
<p>“The pair’s romance got off to a rocky start with Depp getting arrested for trashing the Mark Hotel during a fight with Moss in 1994,” the report said, adding, “The charges were dropped, but the actor had to pay $10,000 in damages. The two never spoke publicly about the incident.”</p>
<p>The model told Vanity Fair in 2012 “that after their split she missed him and there were ‘years and years of crying,&#8217;” Fox noted.</p>
<p>The pair are reportedly still “good friends.”</p>
<p>Other women who’ve had relationships with Depp have defended the actor, including French singer Vanessa Paradis, the mother of Depp’s two children and former partner of 14 years.</p>
