Rapper Kanye West weighed in on the topic of abortion during an interview this week where he said he does not care about people&#8217;s reactions to him being pro-life.
West made the remarks during a wide-ranging <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kanye-praises-candace-owens-flames-legacy-media-in-wide-ranging-interview-with-tucker-carlson">interview</a> Thursday night with Fox News host Tucker Carlson after arriving back in the U.S. from Paris where he attended Fashion Week.
&#8220;And you have a lanyard still on from [Paris Fashion Week], and there&#8217;s a photograph on it,&#8221; Carlson said. &#8220;What is that?&#8221;
&#8220;It&#8217;s a photograph of a baby&#8217;s ultrasound,&#8221; West said of the badge that he designed. &#8220;It just represents life and pro-life.&#8221;
&#8220;Boy, so you wear it on a badge. What kind of response do you get?&#8221; Carlson asked. &#8220;And good. Amen. I agree.&#8221;
&#8220;I don&#8217;t care about people&#8217;s responses,&#8221; the rapper said. &#8220;I care about the fact that there&#8217;s more black babies being aborted than born in New York City at this point, that 50% of black death in America is abortion.&#8221;
&#8220;So, I really don&#8217;t care about people&#8217;s responses,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I perform for an audience of one, and that&#8217;s God.&#8221;
West said that he became convinced that he needed to start expressing his opinions more during the 2016 presidential election.
