Kamala Harris’ Latest COVID-19 Strategy Answer Made Zero Sense
WILMINGTON, DELAWARE - AUGUST 19: Democratic vice presidential nominee U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) interacts with viewers via a video conference on the third night of the Democratic National Convention from the Chase Center August 19, 2020 in Wilmington, Delaware. The convention, which was once expected to draw 50,000 people to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is now taking place virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic. Harris is the first African-American, first Asian-American, and third female vice presidential candidate on a major party ticket.

During an interview with NBC News’ Craig Melvin, Vice President Kamala Harris gave an answer so nonsensical about the Biden administration’s COVID-19 strategy, she was mocked online by numerous commentators afterward.

In an interview that aired Thursday, Melvin asked the vice president, in light of rising COVID-19 cases and other medical advances regarding the pandemic, if it was time for the Biden administration to change up its strategy in dealing with the virus.

Melvin asked: “At what point does the administration say, ‘You know what the strategy isn’t working, we’re going to change strategies?’ Six former administration officials last week wrote that open letter urging the administration to change course, to change strategy, is it time?”

Here was Harris’ response in full:

“It is time for us to do what we have been doing. And that time is every day. Every day it is time for us to agree that there are things and tools that are available to us to slow this thing down. And so right now, we know we still have a number of people that that is in the millions of Americans who have not been vaccinated and could be vaccinated and we are urging them to get vaccinated because it will save their life.”

Her answer in part can be seen below:

Her bizarre answer did not go unnoticed on Twitter. Harris was roasted for her ineloquent response.

“She is Michael Scott, only not likable or sympathetic,” Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro said.

In reference to the Adam Sandler movie “Billy Madison” — a film about a spoiled manchild who goes back to school in order to inherit his family’s business — Allah Pundit tweeted, “she sounds like billy madison talking about the industrial revolution.”

Conservative pundit Benny Johnson simply tweeted, “Watch Kamala have a complete aneurism when asked if the White House needs to shift away from their covid strategy of mandates and tyranny.”

The Daily Wire’s official Twitter account created the following inspirational quote poster in response to Harris’ comments:

Beyond the COVID-19 strategy debacle, Harris also missed a simple layup when asked whether or not she would be on the presidential ticket with President Joe Biden in 2024, The Daily Wire reported.

“Are we going to see the same Democratic ticket in 2024?” Melvin asked.

“I’m sorry, we are thinking about today,” Harris pushed back. “I mean honestly — I know why you’re asking the question because this is part of the punditry and the gossip around places like Washington, D.C. Let me just tell you something, we’re focused on the things in front of us.”

That clip can be seen here:

As The Daily Wire’s Ryan Saavedra observed, that answer might have been “the only time Kamala has tried not to lie.”
