Lawyer, author, and Democratic activist Meena Harris, the niece to Vice President Kamala Harris, posted and then deleted a tweet ripping the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Tuesday evening.
The tweet from Harris said, &#8220;The CDC announced &#8216;F ya life! BING BONG!'&#8221;
Reporter Peter Hasson posted a screenshot of the quickly-deleted tweet, just minutes after it was published.

Harris did not expand on the deleted tweet, but it was likely posted in reaction to an announcement from the CDC on Monday. The agency advised those with a confirmed case of COVID-19 to isolate for only five days &#8212; shortening the prior recommendation by five days &#8212; so long as they are no longer showing symptoms, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-cdc-announces-shortened-covid-19-quarantine-recommendations">The Daily Wire</a> reported:
<blockquote>According to a press release issued by the CDC, the updated advice was “motivated by science demonstrating that the majority of SARS-CoV-2 transmission occurs early in the course of illness, generally in the 1-2 days prior to onset of symptoms and the 2-3 days after.”
The CDC said that asymptomatic individuals “may leave isolation if they can continue to mask for 5 days to minimize the risk of infecting others.”
The agency also said that individuals who were exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 case may also shorten their isolation time.</blockquote>
This is not the first time Harris has caught attention by posting &#8212; and deleting &#8212; from her Twitter account.
Back in March, Harris rushed to post a tweet decrying a Boulder, Colorado, grocery store shooter for being a violent white man, even though the suspected shooter turned out to be of Arabic descent. She eventually deleted the post and offered an explanation without apology. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kamala-harris-niece-tweets-about-shooter-being-white-man-deletes-i-made-an-assumption">The Daily Wire</a> reported:
<blockquote>“The Atlanta shooting was not even a week ago. Violent white men are the greatest terrorist threat to our country,” Harris wrote in the now-deleted post. A screenshot of the post was <a href="https://twitter.com/CalebJHull/status/1374392222997643270">captured</a> by reporter Caleb Hull.
Apparently growing irritated with the push-back over her false tweet, Harris complained to Twitter on Monday, “Insecure men getting defensive about this my god y’all are so f***ing fragile.”
Harris eventually deleted the viral post and offered a snarky post in response to her mistake. Harris said she thought the shooter was white because he was taken into custody “alive.” She also claimed that “the majority of mass shootings in the U.S. are carried out by white men.”
“I deleted a previous tweet about the suspect in the Boulder shooting,” Harris wrote. “I made an assumption based on his being taken into custody alive and the fact that the majority of mass shootings in the U.S. are carried out by white men.”</blockquote>
