<p>Kai Trump tries her best to be a normal 18-year-old. The only things holding her back are the ever-present United States Secret Service escorts — not to mention the fact that her grandfather is the most powerful person in the world.</p>
<p>Other than that, the University of Miami golf commit is just like everyone else — unless one takes into consideration the fact that her mother happens to be dating Tiger Woods, Kai&#8217;s favorite golfer.</p>
<p>Despite her circumstances, Kai was surprisingly relatable when she opened up about her love for President Donald Trump — a.k.a. &#8220;Grandpa&#8221; — on Logan Paul&#8217;s &#8220;Impaulsive&#8221; podcast.</p>
<p>&#8220;He is literally just a cool grandpa,&#8221; Kai said.</p>

<p>The First Granddaughter had equal praise for Trump&#8217;s 19-year-old son, Barron, who, despite the one-year age gap, is Kai&#8217;s uncle.</p>
<p>“He’s a great guy,” she said. “He doesn’t like the public eye so much, which I understand. But he’s a great guy.”</p>
<p>Paul&#8217;s co-host, Mike Majlak, joked that he couldn&#8217;t help but imagine Barron bringing gifts to Kai&#8217;s birthday party as an uncle would do.</p>
<p>Given the closeness of their ages, the dynamic between the two makes them seem more like cousins. Kai noted that while Trump&#8217;s son is busy studying at NYU&#8217;s business school, she&#8217;s finishing up high school before heading further south to play golf at Miami — with her Secret Service escorts in tow, of course.</p>
<p>&#8220;Everywhere I go Secret Service is there,&#8221; Kai said.</p>
<p>If she wants to go to a college party in Miami, for example, her hosts will have to make room for a few more. Her ever-present Secret Service agents have to go on girls&#8217; nights — and have even tagged along when she went on dates.</p>
<p>&#8220;To be honest with you, it&#8217;s really awkward when you are on a date with a guy, and they are two tables behind you,&#8221; Kai said. &#8220;It&#8217;s a little weird.&#8221;</p>
<p>Awkwardness aside, the teenager understands the Secret Service&#8217;s purpose — after all, it is round two for her with Grandpa in the White House.</p>
<p>During Trump&#8217;s 2024 presidential campaign, Kai spoke at the Republican National Convention. She noted on the podcast that it was completely her decision to speak at the RNC, calling it the &#8220;craziest thing she&#8217;s ever done.&#8221;</p>
<p>Still, her brief moment on the RNC stage may be a one-time deal. She said she plans to stay &#8220;completely&#8221; out of politics for the foreseeable future.</p>
<p>“I don’t want anything to do with politics because I feel like politics is such a dangerous thing,” Kai said, expressing her concern that social media helps fuel the extreme on both the left and right. &#8220;I think if both sides met in the middle everyone would be so much more happier.&#8221;</p>
<p>Kai was very courteous toward her Grandpa&#8217;s opponent in the last election when asked by Paul if Kamala Harris was the &#8220;opps&#8221; (Gen-Z slang for &#8220;enemy&#8221;).</p>
<p>“There’s no bad blood. I’m very much in the middle,&#8221; Kai <a href="https://x.com/impaulsive/status/2008684647530762428?s=20">said</a>. &#8220;I’m kind of like, &#8216;It is what it is.&#8217; They ran against each other. Obviously I’m going to support my Grandpa, my family member, but that’s pretty much it.”</p>
<p>Politics may not be in Kai&#8217;s future, but if she gets her way, professional golf will be. The soon-to-be Division 1 athlete has plans to join the LPGA after college. That would seemingly make the golf-loving President proud — but to Kai, Trump is still just a Grandpa who loves and supports her no matter what.</p>
