Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche expects to meet with Ghislaine Maxwell soon to determine whether she will give the Justice Department more information about those who might have committed crimes alongside her and deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In a statement shared by Attorney General Pam Bondi on Tuesday morning, Blanche said he anticipates meeting with Maxwell, who was convicted of sex trafficking young girls for Epstein, in the “coming days.” Blanche also stood by a Justice Department memo released earlier this month that said they had no evidence of an Epstein client list, as was widely believed, and that Epstein committed suicide in a Manhattan prison cell with no proof of foul play.

“This Department of Justice does not shy away from uncomfortable truths, nor from the responsibility to pursue justice wherever the facts may lead. The joint statement by the DOJ and FBI of July 6 remains as accurate today as it was when it was written,” Blanche said. “Namely, that in the recent thorough review of the files maintained by the FBI in the Epstein case, no evidence was uncovered that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”

“President Trump has told us to release all credible evidence. If Ghislane Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and the DOJ will hear what she has to say,” he added. “Therefore, at the direction of Attorney General Bondi, I have communicated with counsel for Ms. Maxwell to determine whether she would be willing to speak with prosecutors from the Department. I anticipate meeting with Ms. Maxwell in the coming days.”

In a separate statement, Blanche said: “Justice demands courage. For the first time, the Department of Justice is reaching out to Ghislaine Maxwell to ask: what do you know? At [Bondi’s] direction, I’ve contacted her counsel. I intend to meet with her soon. No one is above the law—and no lead is off-limits.”

FBI Director Kash Patel reacted to the statement by saying, “Get it.”

The Trump administration has faced criticism in recent weeks after many supporters and commentators voiced frustration over the Justice Department memo. At Trump’s direction last Friday, Bondi requested that all grand jury testimony from the federal cases against Epstein and Maxwell be unsealed.

Trump has also recently filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal for a story it published claiming that he sent a suggestive birthday card to Epstein in 2003.
