Model and actress Julia Fox discussed her decision to remain celibate, citing the 2022 overturning of Roe v. Wade as one reason she’s sticking with it.
“Nothing good comes from having sex — including children,” the 34-year-old celeb joked during a conversation on Monday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”
She added, “No, I’m just kidding.”
“I think with the overturning of Roe v. Wade and our rights being stripped away from us, this is a way I can take back the control,” Fox said. “It sucks that it has to be in that way, but I just don’t feel comfortable until things change.”
The model shares a 3-year-old son with ex-husband, Peter Artemiev. Fox said she’s not planning on breaking her celibacy vow anytime soon.
“It was six months, then it was a year, and then I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, it’s almost 2.5 years and it’s still going,’” she told Cohen.
When the TV host asked if she missed having sex, Fox replied, “In the beginning, yes. But I think it’s just like getting over anything — smoking, drugs, whatever it may be. Eventually, you just forget and then all that energy that you were putting toward sex, you can put it toward other things.”
Cohen pried further, asking the actress, “Do you masturbate a lot?”

“Not as much as you would think,” Fox said. “Maybe like once or twice a month. Sometimes I’ll start and then I get tired and lose interest. I’m just so tired all the time.”
The celeb first announced she was celibate earlier this month while responding to a TikTok video depicting billboard ads for the dating app Bumble claiming “Celibacy is not the answer.”
“Imagine pretending to be a Dating App FOR WOMEN and launching a million dollar ad campaign BLAMING WOMEN for a very normal reaction to men’s violence,” the original poster wrote.
Fox commented on the clip, saying, “2.5 years of celibacy and never been better tbh.”
The model, who was previously in a high-profile relationship with rapper Kanye West but maintains they never slept together, has in the past discussed her experience working in a “sex dungeon.”
“Everyone is a freak and we know it, so it’s like I won’t judge you and you won’t judge me,” she said in 2022 of witnessing depraved sex acts at work, as The Daily Wire previously reported.
