Famous comedy writer and film director Judd Apatow has been a fierce opponent of Donald Trump since he first threw his hat into the presidential sweepstakes, much like the rest of Hollywood. Over the weekend, the Hillary Clinton-backer performed a stand-up routine in Los Angeles predictably slamming President Trump, likening his presidency to being raped.
“I feel like I’ve just been raped and I just don’t know if I’m going to get murdered,” Apatow told the crowd, speaking of the horrors of living under democratically-elected President Trump.
“I feel like a person about to get raped, but I didn’t know how bad it would be,” he said of life pre-Inauguration Day.
The co-creator of Lena Dunham’s HBO series Girls also took on First Lady Melania Trump and their son, 10-year-old Barron.
Apatow called the First Lady’s decision to halt her move into the White House until her son finished his school year “pretty bad.”
“I mean, think about it: Hillary Clinton didn’t move out of the White House and her husband got a b***job in it,” he said.
“Every day [Melania’s] not in the White House is a day she’s not getting f***ed by Donald Trump,” the director added. “Wouldn’t you stay away?”
Then came his take on young Barron.
“He f***ing gets it,” said Apatow of Barron. “You ever see the look on his face when Trump’s talking?…People are like, ‘Is there something wrong with him?’ No! He knows his dad’s a f***ing a**hole!”
The writer also commented on the president’s alleged unwillingness to laugh unless it’s at someone by invoking the Special Olympics.
“Laughter is how we connect, it’s how you show people you love them,” he said. “He only laughs when he makes someone feel bad. What does he do to laugh, just go on YouTube and watch Special Olympics bloopers?”
The left is often highly squeamish about any politically incorrect jokes, especially those concerning rape or the disabled, but, oddly enough, Apatow’s routine has been lauded as “epic.”
