MSNBC host Joy Reid accused SpaceX CEO Elon Musk of &#8220;misappropriating black vernacular for misogynistic purposes&#8221; after his Twitter feud with Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren when he called her &#8220;Senator Karen.&#8221;
&#8220;So for so many reasons, being a freeloader, and a selfish and disrespectful one, and for misappropriating black vernacular for misogynistic purposes, Elon Musk is the absolute worst,&#8221; Reid said during her program on MSNBC program &#8220;The Reid Out&#8221; on Wednesday.
The Twitter battle began when Warren tweeted a post in response to Musk being named Time Magazine&#8217;s &#8220;Person of the Year.&#8221;
&#8220;Let&#8217;s change the rigged tax code so The Person of the Year will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else,&#8221; Warren posted.

Musk first responded with the words, &#8220;Stop projecting!&#8221;
He later added in two additional posts, &#8220;You remind me of when I was a kid and my friend’s angry Mom would just randomly yell at everybody for no reason.&#8221;

The second post added, &#8220;Please don’t call the manager on me, Senator Karen.&#8221;
Referring to Warren as &#8220;Senator Karen,&#8221; Musk used the slang term often used to refer to a complaining woman as a &#8220;Karen.&#8221;
Musk continued with another response that also addressed Warren&#8217;s issue about him paying his &#8220;fair share&#8221; of taxes.
&#8220;And if you opened your eyes for 2 seconds, you would realize I will pay more taxes than any American in history this year,&#8221; Musk replied.

Reid has interestingly used the term &#8220;Karen&#8221; herself. As The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/elon-musk-torches-elizabeth-warren-please-dont-call-the-manager-on-me-senator-karen" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> following the Jussie Smollett verdict:

The “ReidOut” host said “Great point…” to an original statement that said, “If #JussieSmollett is being convicted of falsely reporting a hate crime, what about all the #Karen’s who have made false claims to law enforcement and tried to weaponize the police against Black Men &amp; Women putting their lives in danger.”
Predictably, Reid had plenty to say about Smollett’s “attack” when it first happened. Her reaction to the original report of the incident <a href="https://twitter.com/joyannreid/status/1090316923932475394">said</a>, “Nooses never really disappeared as messages of a very specific kind of terror, but every time they’re used, my God, it’s chilling. Praying for Jussie’s full recovery. And for us all.”</blockquote>
Musk has increasingly spoken out regarding political issues in recent weeks. Last week, he tweeted, &#8220;If &#8216;temporary&#8217; provisions in the Build Back Better Act become permanent, US national debt will increase by 24%!&#8221;
&#8220;There is a lot of accounting trickery in this bill that isn’t being disclosed to the public,&#8221; he added.
