<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/jon-voight" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jon Voight</a> said his famous daughter Angelina Jolie is “ignorant” for her pro-Palestinian stance and suggested that she’s been “influenced by anti-Semitic people.”
Speaking to <a href="https://variety.com/2024/film/news/jon-voight-trump-support-israel-palestine-angelina-jolie-1236080058/">Variety magazine</a>, the 85-year-old actor said that his 49-year-old actress daughter was “naive” when it comes to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas following the terrorist attack in Israel on October 7.
“She has been exposed to propaganda,” Voight said. “She’s been influenced by antisemitic people. Angie has a connection to the UN [United Nations], and she’s enjoyed speaking out for refugees. But these people are not refugees.”
“She’s ignorant of what the real stakes are and what the real story is because she’s in the loop of the United Nations,” he added, calling out the “naive” activists who claim there are millions of Palestinian refugees in the West Bank and Gaza, the outlet noted.

“They’re dupes who never get outside of their bubble,” Voight continued, noting that Jolie is one of those “naive dupes.” &#8220;She doesn’t really want to share this kind of stuff, because she’s of another mind about it.”
Voight made it clear he loves his daughter and doesn’t want to fight with her, but said that the “fact is, I think she has been influenced by the UN. From the beginning, it’s been awful with human rights. They call it human rights, but it’s just anti-Israel bashing.”

The comments came after the “Eternals” star said in a post in October on <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/angelina-jolie-statement-israel-hamas-war-1235630944/">Instagram</a> that “what happened in Israel is an act of terror.”
“But that cannot justify the innocent lives lost in bombing a civilian population in Gaza that has nowhere to go, no access to food or water, no possibility of evacuation, and not even the basic human right to cross a border to seek refuge,” Jolie’s post read.
Last year, Jolie’s father made it clear he wasn’t happy with his daughter for defending Palestinians, the <a href="https://t.co/20xMYAaIuS">New York Post</a> noted.
“I am very disappointed that my daughter, like so many, has no understanding of God’s honor, God’s truths,” Voight said in <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CzNYXqzt6_J/">an Instagram video</a> at the time.
“This is about destroying the history of God’s land, the Holy Land, the Land of the Jews. This is justice for God’s children of the Holy Land,” he added.
Jolie has reportedly never responded in public to her father’s comments, the Post noted.
