John Rich Says ‘Cases And Cases’ Of Bud Light Piling Up At His Nashville Bar After Mulvaney Partnership
Country star John Rich said “cases and cases” of Bud Light have been piling up at his Nashville bar after Anheuser-Busch announced its partnership with biological male transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.
During the 49-year-old singer’s appearance on Fox News’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Monday, Rich told the host that Bud Light used to be his bar’s most popular beer, but ever since Mulvaney revealed a deal with the brand, patrons stopped ordering it.
“I think the customers decide. Customers are king,” said Rich. “Our number one selling beer up until a few days ago was, guess what? Bud Light. That was the number one beer. We got cases and cases and cases of it sitting back there.”

“But in the past several days, you’re hard-pressed to find anyone ordering one,” he added. “So as a business owner, I go, ‘Hey, if you aren’t ordering it, we got to put something else in here.’ At the end of the day, that’s capitalism. Right, Tucker? That’s how it works.”
“It’s their right to market it however they want,” Rich continued. “They’re making a bet [that] this is going to sell more product… And what’s happening, Tucker, is people that have been loyal to brands for decades and decades are finding it hard to stay loyal to them, so they start hunting down other brands that they can go and support. And [there are] tons of up-and-coming American brands out there that people are flooding to, kind of like mine.”
The “Amazed” hitmaker recently made headlines when he joined fellow musicians Travis Tritt and Kid Rock in boycotting the brand over the Mulvaney partnership.
Rich tweeted, “What beer should my bar [Redneck Riviera] in Nashville replace #BudLight with?”

His comments followed Tritt, who went even further and announced he would be “deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider. I know many other artists who are doing the same.”

“Grandpa’s feeling a little frisky today,” the 52-year-old singer captioned the post. “Let me say something to all of you and be as clear and concise as possible. F*** Bud Light. And f*** Anheuser-Busch. Have a terrific day.”
