Jim Jordan Grills Kash Patel On All The Things The FBI Is NOT Doing (Anymore)

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) used some of his time during a Wednesday hearing to grill FBI Director Kash Patel over what the FBI is no longer doing in order to be more effective and less political.

Jordan asked Patel — who spent much of his Senate hearing on Tuesday and his House hearing on Wednesday facing off with Democrats in both chambers — a series of rapid-fire questions before giving the Director a chance to answer them. Nearly every question referenced something that the FBI had been accused of doing under former President Joe Biden.

“Director, yes or no, is the FBI still spying on parents at school board meetings?” Jordan began.

“No, sir,” Patel replied.

“Is the FBI still targeting Catholics?” Jordan wanted to know.

Patel again answered, “No, sir.”

“Is the FBI still spying on President Trump?”

“I don’t believe so,” Patel responded with a chuckle.

“Is the FBI still censoring Americans?” Jordan asked.

“No, sir,” Patel confirmed.

Jordan asked another: “Is the FBI still targeting Americans for shopping at Cabela’s or purchasing Bibles?”

“Nobody is targeted for their faith,” Patel said.

“Is the FBI still targeting Americans who are pro-life?” Jordan asked.

“Nobody is targeting anyone for their beliefs,” was Patel’s reply.

“Is the FBI still cooking the books on crime data?” Jordan wondered.

“The crime data is real,” Patel laughed again.

“Is the FBI still purging agents for conservative viewpoints?” Jordan wondered.

“No one at the FBI is asked their viewpoints on politics,” said Patel.

“Is the FBI still labeling the Betsy Ross Flag, the flag of the American Revolution, a ‘hate symbol?'” Jordan asked one last question.

“No,” Patel responded.

“Well, maybe that’s why you’ve been able to — what was the number, 23,000 bad guys you’ve arrested? A HUGE increase from the same time period in the previous administration? I think you said 1,400 predators? 4,000 children rescued? Were those the facts?” Jordan asked.

“Forty-seven hundred. A 33% increase on children rescued,” Patel clarified.

“Yeah,” Jordan responded, noting that under Patel’s leadership, the FBI had also caught the person responsible for the Abbey Gate bombing during the previous administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. “Maybe when you’re not focused on politics, you can focus on what the FBI is supposed to do — GO GET THE BAD GUYS!”
