James Woods Posts Lethal Tweet About Anti-Trump London Mayor

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has become an international name in large part because of his ongoing public feud with President Trump over the threat of radical Islam and his handling of security issues in his city. Amid reports that London’s murder rate recently surpassed New York’s — the first time that’s happened in modern history — Khan’s handling of security has once again come under fire.

On Sunday, the London Times reported a surge in knife attacks in London that has resulted in the city’s homicide rate surpassing New York’s:

Fifteen people were murdered in the capital, against 14 in New York. Both cities have almost exactly the same population.

London murders for March are also likely to exceed or equal New York’s. By late last night there had been 22 killings in the capital, according to the Metropolitan police, against 21 in the US city.

In response, conservative actor and famed Twitter troll James Woods had a short but sharp message for Khan:

As the Daily Wire’s Amanda Prestigiacomo recently noted, London’s violent crime problem has been on the rise for a few years now, including both fatal stabbings and horrific acid attacks:

Since 2014, excluding victims of terrorism, the number of London murders has risen by a stunning 38%. London has also seen an “epidemic” of acid attacks in recent years.

The increase in fatal crime is a recent trend in London. According to the Times, “FBI data and studies by the late Eric Monkkonen, a researcher at the University of California, show that since 1800 London has had a murder rate per person of between half and a 20th of New York’s.”

Khan, who is the first Muslim to be elected as mayor of a major Western city, has repeatedly criticized Trump, a public feud that began during the 2016 campaign. Not one to allow criticism to go unanswered, Trump has repeatedly fired back, particularly hammering Khan’s head-in-the-sand response to the threat of radical Islamic terror.

In September 2016, Khan infamously stated that terrorism was now just “part and parcel of life in a big city,” a comment that has come back to haunt him. After a September 2017 report that 400 jihadis that had fought for ISIS were now living the city, the mayor was unable to provide much of an answer on what he was doing about it. After a terror attack in the city that left seven dead and dozens injured last year, Khan told citizens that there’s “no reason to be alarmed” by the strong police presence in the city, a reaction mocked by President Donald Trump, who Khan accused of taking his comment out of context.

The bitter battle between Trump and Khan has reached a point that Khan has emphatically stated that Trump is “not welcome” in his city.
