<p>Longtime Democratic strategist James Carville took a page out of George Bernard Shaw&#8217;s &#8220;Pygmalion&#8221; and gave it a sickening twist, claiming on Wednesday that he could recruit a &#8220;convicted pedophile&#8221; and coach that candidate to a win over a Republican.</p>
<p>Carville — the brains behind former President Bill Clinton&#8217;s &#8220;it&#8217;s the economy, stupid&#8221; — cracked the off-color &#8220;joke&#8221; on his &#8220;Politics War Room&#8221; podcast in the wake of sweeping victories for Democrats in Tuesday&#8217;s elections. The joke was primarily a reference to Virginia Attorney General-elect Jay Jones, who won his election despite the revelation that he had once texted a colleague about wishing violence on a political opponent.</p>

<p>Laughing as he laid out his plan, Carville said, &#8220;I’m personally going to find a convicted pedophile and run him in a race just to see if he could beat a Republican. I’m not sure. I’m not going to say that a convicted pedophile could win.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;And by the way, the guy that was running against [Jones] ran a pretty good campaign,&#8221; Carville said, speaking of incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares (R-VA). &#8220;He ran ads &#8230; if you think &#8230; the most interesting thing, drum roll, I&#8217;m going to give y&#8217;all the most interesting piece of news of the cycle, even more interesting than Bucks County. The Republican legislator who released the texts lost. And Jay won.&#8221;</p>
<p>Carville continued to laugh as he added, &#8220;I mean it&#8217;s just — just a little tidbit. Hey, you got some baggage out there with Trump, people. Just know that.”</p>
<p>Carville made headlines recently when he argued that President Donald Trump&#8217;s &#8220;collaborators&#8221; should be <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/james-carville-fantasizes-about-trump-collaborators-paraded-in-the-streets-like-post-war-nazis">treated like Nazis</a> in post-war Europe, and be paraded through the streets in orange jumpsuits with their heads shaved so that the people could spit on them.</p>

<p>Governor Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) tore into Virginia Attorney General-elect Jay Jones — who won Tuesday’s election despite the cloud of scandal that threatened to engulf him — on Wednesday, saying that he was no less concerned about Jones’ ability to carry out the duties of his office in an unbiased manner.</p>
<p>Youngkin mentioned the scandal that had followed Jones, stemming from <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/is-the-virginia-way-dead-ag-jason-miyares-breaks-down-whats-really-at-stake-in-jay-jones-race">text messages</a> he’d sent three years earlier that advocated the assassination of then-state House Speaker Todd Gilbert, a Republican, and suggested that Gilbert and his wife should have to watch one of their young children die.</p>

<p>“I am incredibly concerned about the Attorney General-elect’s ability to do the job based on the texts that he sent. They were abhorrent, and I think that they, once again, reiterate that you can’t come into this job if you are espousing death on a political enemy, the death of children, and the death of law enforcement,” Youngkin posted on X.</p>
<p>“And I believe, just as I&#8217;ve always believed that that disqualifies him for the job,” the governor continued. “The next administration&#8217;s going to have to figure out how to deal with that because they have law enforcement, that they&#8217;re going to need to make sure, feel good about doing the job. They&#8217;re going to have to make sure that parents with children feel safe.”</p>
<p>“And that’s going to be a challenge going forward. My position has not changed; that there is absolutely no excuse for what he wrote. None. And we live in a society today that I think has lost its way, at least some folks have, on their willingness to almost accept violence and political violence as a solution,” Youngkin concluded.</p>
<p>Republican gubernatorial candidate Winsome Earle-Sears lost her bid for the governor’s mansion on Tuesday, meaning that Youngkin will soon be replaced by Democrat <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/spanberger-still-sells-merchandise-with-jay-joness-name-despite-attempts-to-distance-campaigns">Abigail Spanberger</a>, who initially condemned Jones’ text messages, but stopped short of calling for him to step away from the race.</p>

Glenn Youngkin Rips Into Jay Jones After Election: ‘I Am Incredibly Concerned’

<p>Minneapolis Democratic incumbent Mayor Jacob Frey successfully defended his office despite a challenge from his left in Democratic socialist Omar Fateh, the candidate some have compared to New York City&#8217;s Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani.</p>
<p>Minneapolis uses ranked-choice voting, and Frey was able to pull together majority support after the third round of tabulation. After the first round, he already had a clear lead over Fateh — 41.8% to 31.7%.</p>

<p>Throughout the campaign, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/meet-omar-fateh-the-radical-somali-american-democratic-socialist-running-for-minneapolis-mayor">the Somali-American</a> attempted to capitalize on the type of messaging that had made Mamdani resonate in New York City — but with more limited success.</p>
<p>Among other things, he promised on the campaign trail to make Minneapolis the &#8220;last line of defense&#8221; against President Donald Trump and a &#8220;safe haven&#8221; for everything from illegal immigrants and abortions to transgender hormones and surgeries.</p>
<p>Fateh took direct aim at Frey on his campaign website, saying, &#8220;With Donald Trump back in the Oval Office, the progress towards equity and justice that our communities have worked so hard to create is in jeopardy. Mayor Frey has said that our approach to fighting Trump is extreme — he’s wrong.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Democratic socialist also adopted similar policy positions to Mamdani&#8217;s on making things — housing in particular — more affordable, promising to implement a rent freeze if elected, and calling for additional expenditures on housing designated for &#8220;LGBTQ+ and BIPOC people,” because he said they were “some of the highest at risk for losing their housing, being over-criminalized by [Minneapolis police], and being harassed by their employer.&#8221;</p>
<p>Fateh was initially endorsed by the local Democratic Party in the Minneapolis mayoral race over Mayor Frey.</p>
<p>&#8220;This endorsement is a message that Minneapolis residents are done with broken promises, vetoes, and politics as usual. It’s a mandate to build a city that works for all of us,&#8221; Fateh said at the time.</p>
<p>But Frey argued that the endorsement was unlawful due to the process by which the group had voted, and that resulted in the Constitution, Bylaws &amp; Rules Committee of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL) withdrawing the endorsement later.</p>

‘Minnesota Mamdani’ Omar Fateh Loses Election Bid In Minneapolis

<p>U.S. District Judge James Boasberg got hit with the business end of articles of impeachment on Tuesday stemming from his role in efforts — undertaken by former President Joe Biden&#8217;s Justice Department — to investigate and undermine President Donald Trump and his allies.</p>
<p>Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) filed the articles on Tuesday, saying in an X post, &#8220;I just filed Articles of Impeachment against radical activist Judge James Boasberg. Judge Boasberg abused his power by weaponizing the judiciary against critics of the Biden Administration. As part of the Arctic Frost Investigation, Judge Boasberg signed off on frivolous nondisclosure orders to conceal the fact that sitting US Senators were being surveilled. Not only was this action egregiously improper; it was a gross violation of the separation of powers. Judge Boasberg is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors, is unfit for office, and should be impeached.&#8221;</p>

<p>Gill filed the articles after learning that Boasberg was the one who signed off on subpoenas that facilitated the surveillance of multiple Republicans in Congress — and barred anyone from informing those members that they were the subject of subpoenas.</p>
<p>&#8220;Chief Judge Boasberg has compromised the impartiality of the judiciary and created a constitutional crisis. He is shamelessly weaponizing his power against his political opponents, including Republican members of Congress who are faithfully serving the American people within their jurisdiction,&#8221; Gill told Fox News Digital in a statement.</p>
<p>&#8220;Judge Boasberg was an accomplice in the egregious Arctic Frost scandal where he equipped the Biden DOJ to spy on Republican senators. His lack of integrity makes him clearly unfit for the gavel. I am proud to once again introduce articles of impeachment against Judge Boasberg to hold him accountable for his high crimes and misdemeanors,&#8221; he added.</p>
<p>The news of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-biden-dojs-watergate-arctic-frost-docs-reveal-massive-operation-targeting-trump-allies">Arctic Frost</a> broke a week earlier, when Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) revealed that the FBI — with the approval of then Attorney General Merrick Garland — had requested some 400 subpoenas relating to 200 Republicans, and had subpoenaed bank records from major Republican donors, PACs, and even Mike Lindell&#8217;s MyPillow.</p>

Judge Who’s Been Trump Foil Slapped With Articles Of Impeachment Over Arctic Frost Orders

<p>Ben Shapiro urged New Yorkers to consider the consequences as they headed to the polls on Tuesday to choose a new mayor, pressing them to vote for former Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) in an effort to prevent self-described Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani from gaining a foothold in the Big Apple.</p>
<p>The Daily Wire&#8217;s editor emeritus opened his eponymous show on Tuesday with a plea to voters to see through Mamdani&#8217;s &#8220;acting&#8221; and understand the threat he posed to America&#8217;s financial hub — and to understand that even though Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa might be a more ideologically sound choice, a vote for him would likely accomplish little if anything.</p>

<p>&#8220;Alright, folks, it&#8217;s Election Day in New York City, and the question on everyone&#8217;s mind: will Zohran Mamdani — the pro-jihadist, pro-Marxist candidate for Mayor of New York, be elected mayor of the world&#8217;s financial capital?&#8221; Shapiro began.</p>
<p>&#8220;And one of the questions I sort of have to ask here, is if you&#8217;re a Sliwa voter, who are you and why?&#8221; Shapiro continued. &#8220;Truly, because what is the point of your vote? OK, we get it. You don&#8217;t like Cuomo and you don&#8217;t like Mamdani either. OK, welcome to Planet Earth, where most people don&#8217;t like either Cuomo or Mamdani. But I just, I&#8217;m just wondering, what do you get by voting for Curtis Sliwa at this point?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Do you get one of those hats? Like what precisely is the draw to vote for Curtis Sliwa?&#8221; Shapiro asked. &#8220;Curtis is fine, don&#8217;t get me wrong, and if you&#8217;re in a rational city, maybe he might have an outside shot at being mayor of New York, but he doesn&#8217;t. So what are you doing? If you take your vote and you put it in the Sliwa box, that is a vote effectively for Zoran Mamdani, period. End of story.&#8221;</p>
<p>Shapiro went on to reference a recent Atlas Intel poll that showed Mamdani besting Cuomo — but that in a head-to-head match up, Cuomo would be the likely victor.</p>
<p>&#8220;In that poll, by the way, Sliwa is claiming 15.5% support,&#8221; Shapiro added, noting that the same poll showed Sliwa siphoning the votes that would likely boost Cuomo to victory. &#8220;Guys, no, don&#8217;t do this, don&#8217;t do it. It is not worth whatever points you think you are scoring by not voting for Andrew Cuomo.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Listen, I don&#8217;t like Andrew Cuomo either,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I think Andrew Cuomo was a terrible governor of New York. I don&#8217;t understand for the life of me why the mayoralty of New York came down to the guy who killed all the old people and grabbed ass and ran out of old people, and an outright third-worlder, I don&#8217;t understand.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;When I say third world, I mean like as a philosophy,&#8221; he clarified. &#8220;Like Zohran Mamdani is a third-worldist, meaning he believes that all the poor places on earth are the fault of Western civilization. He believes that the only reason that there are failing parts of planet Earth is because of colonialism, and because of Western imperialism and capitalism and all that kind of nonsense. So, those are your two choices, but voting for Curtis Sliwa ain&#8217;t gonna fix that.&#8221;</p>
