Ivanka Trump shared a heartbreaking post on Instagram about “grief” during her family’s first holiday season following her mother Ivana Trump’s death in July.
In the lengthy post, former President Donald Trump’s daughter said “it’s true” what others have said about “grief during the holidays” being hardest and said the “void” left by her mom’s absence “is undeniable”
“This is the first holiday season since the passing of my mother,” Ivanka captioned her post. “It’s true: grief during the holidays can be harder than any other time of the year.”

“Learning to celebrate differently is a challenge,” she added. “I am trying to be kind, patient and compassionate with myself and honor and make space for all of the emotions I am experiencing. New memories are being made, my children’s laughter is abundant, my 96-year-old grandma’s presence at our table brings us all joy, yet the void is undeniable.”
“The loss of a parent is one of life’s very painful passages for which one is never fully prepared,” Trump continued. “It hits at the very core of your being. And it takes a good amount of time to emerge from how it dislocates you.”
The former first daughter then closed out her post by sending love and support to all those who “have experienced the loss of a loved one this year.”
“May hope sustain you, may good memories provide you comfort, may friends and family surround you, and may love give you strength,” she wrote.
The former senior advisor to the Trump administration’s post also included several sweet throwback photos of Ivanka as a young child with her mom during various Christmas celebrations over the years.
In July, news surfaced that the first wife of former President Trump had died, as The Daily Wire previously reported.
Reports later confirmed that Ivana died from injuries she sustained after falling down a flight of stairs, according to the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Her death was ruled as an accident.
