Behar launched into her rant after co-host Whoopi Goldberg had quoted President Trump saying in North Carolina Tuesday night, “Under Operation Warp Speed, we’re producing a vaccine in record time. This is a vaccine that we’re gonna have very soon, very, very soon. By the end of the year but much sooner than that, perhaps.”
Goldberg sniped, “I can just laugh when I hear him talk. A joint statement from nine pharmaceutical company CEOs said that they will not seek approval until advanced clinical trials prove a vaccine is safe and effective. What is your take on all of this, Joy?”
Noted scientist Behar responded: “There’s a couple things I wanna say. Number one, when I see that North Carolina thing that he just did, I was noticing that he missed an opportunity, a business opportunity. You know, he’s such a bad businessman, he could have told everybody in March to put on a mask just like Dr. Fauci said, and he could have had the word ‘Trump’ plastered on it, and he would have made some money, but he missed that opportunity.”
“Okay,” she continued. “As far as the vaccine is concerned, I’d like to inform America, in case we don’t know this, because I looked all this up for you, the mumps vaccine took four years, the polio vaccine took 20 years, and the smallpox vaccine took a few centuries. It was developed initially in 1796, so they started to think about it, and it became useful in the 1950s. OK? It’s not a simple thing to do. He will push anything to get reelected. Don’t fall for it. And by the way, I will take the vaccine after Ivanka takes it.”

But our kids loved it from the start,&#8221; she said. &#8220;My son Joseph promptly built grandpa a Lego replica of the White House. The president still displays it on the mantel in the Oval Office and shows it to world leaders, just so they know he has the greatest grandchildren on earth.&#8221;
Apparently, this admission was too much for some &#8220;journalists,&#8221; who then promptly began to question whether or not she falsified the story. Business Insider went so far as to enlist as many as two reporters, Sarah Al-Arshani and Jacob Shamsian, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/ivanka-trump-white-house-lego-replica-trump-tower-story-2020-8">to thoroughly explore</a> the alleged &#8220;scandal.&#8221;
&#8220;The story resembles another one Ivanka Trump has told about herself, as Andrea Bernstein, a WNYC reporter, said on Twitter,&#8221; reported Business Insider. &#8220;According to &#8216;American Oligarchs,&#8217; a book Bernstein wrote about the Trump and Kushner families, <a href="https://books.google.com/books?id=ekm2DwAAQBAJ&amp;q=lego#v=snippet&amp;q=lego&amp;f=false" data-analytics-module="body_link" data-analytics-post-depth="20" data-uri="c239ecbabab599b1ebb64b6547e725ff">Ivanka said in a 2007 interview with Conan O&#8217;Brien</a> that she&#8217;d built a Lego replica of Trump Tower for her dad. Indeed, shortly after this non-story gained traction, Ivanka Trump posted to social media a photo of President Trump and his grandson with the Lego model.

We are also announcing a new $5 million partnership with Microsoft Airband that will work to extend high-speed broadband internet connectivity in developing economies to millions of women over the next three years. Thank you to President Brad Smith of Microsoft for your partnership.
To continue our investment in entrepreneurship, we are pleased to launch the $23 million W-GDP Invest in Women Portfolio, which will work to promote systematic reforms in financial systems and encourage private-sector investment in women through innovative blended finance approaches.
We will also continue to work regionally, partnering for example with Mastercard in Colombia to improve access to markets and networks by equipping early-stage women fintech entrepreneurs with the direction needed to connect to Mastercard’s wider network.

After leftists vowed to boycott his business, Unanue, who had previously worked with the Obama administration, said he will not be apologizing to the woke mob.
“You’re allowed to talk good or to praise one president but you’re not allowed — when I was called to be part of this commission to aid in economic and educational prosperity, and you make a positive comment, all of the sudden that’s not acceptable,” he told Brian Kilmeade of “Fox &amp; Friends.”
“I’m not apologizing for saying,” Unanue continued. “Especially if you’re called by the President of the United States, you’re going to say, ‘No, I’m sorry, I’m busy, no thank you?’ I didn’t say that to the Obamas and I didn’t say that to President Trump.”
The criticisms against Goya became so toxic that Julio Ricardo Varela wrote an op-ed for NBC News claiming that Unanue was actually searching for &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nbc-news-op-ed-goya-ceo-seeking-white-acceptance">white acceptance</a>.”
“Well, as a long-time supporter of Republican candidates, Unanue has had no problem shunning his grandfather’s Puerto Rican migrant roots by playing up his family’s Spanish and European ones — as though the quest for white acceptance is something noble to achieve in these times,” he wrote.

The background to Handler’s attack on Ivanka Trump goes like this:
Last Thursday, Goya CEO Bob Unanue, who is Hispanic, spoke at the Rose Garden at the White House, where he <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-goya-ceo-wont-cave-to-left-wing-boycott-im-not-apologizing-for-trump-praise?%3Futm_source=twitter">praised</a> President Trump, saying, &#8220;We’re all truly blessed &#8230; to have a leader like President Trump who is a builder. We have an incredible builder, and we pray. We pray for our leadership, our president.&#8221; That precipitated an avalanche of criticism from leftist Democrats and activists, prompting Unanue to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/goya-foods-ceo-on-democrats-boycott-of-latino-company-hell-no-im-not-apologizing-for-praising-trump">say unflinchingly</a> on Fox News&#8217; &#8220;Fox &amp; Friends&#8221; on Friday that he refused to apologize.
&#8220;Fox &amp; Friends&#8221; host Brian Kilmeade asked Unanue, &#8220;Are you getting a boycott? That’s what I’ve heard, because you had the audacity to show up at the president’s invitation and say some positive things about him?&#8221;
Unanue replied, &#8220;Yes, and it’s suppression of speech. In 2012, eight years ago, I was called by Michelle Obama to Tampa, and they were mentioning to launch a ‘my plate’ thing which we put on, it’s putting the nutritional pyramid into a plate of portion control. They wanted to approach the African American community, the Hispanic community, to eat more nutritionally.”
He added, “So, they called on us as the most recognized Hispanic brand in the United States, and I went. I went to the White House later and I introduced at Hispanic heritage month President Obama. And so you’re allowed talk good or to praise one president, but you’re not allowed, when I was called to be part of this commission to aid in economic and educational prosperity and you make a positive comment, all of a sudden that’s not acceptable.”
Unanue concluded, “So, you know, I’m not apologizing for saying, especially if you’re called by the President of the United States, you’re going to say, ‘No, I’m sorry; I’m busy. No, thank you.&#8217; I didn’t say that to the Obamas and I didn’t say that to President Trump.”
When Fox News’ Laura Ingraham later asked if he would apologize, Unanue snapped, “Hell, no. Hell, no.”

After the president of Wichita State University canceled a virtual speech from Ivanka Trump for the technical school&#8217;s graduation, a former board member reported that some donors want the president fired.
Last Thursday the university announced Trump’s speech, but President Jay Golden canceled it only hours later after a professor wrote an open letter of protest which roughly 500 people signed.
On Monday, Steve Clark, a former regent for the university, sent a letter to board members saying that officials from Koch Industries and several longtime donors and supporters are “very upset and quite vocal in their decisions to disavow any further support,” adding, “These relationships can only be restored by Dr. Golden’s departure. I would strongly encourage you not to let this linger,” <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/canceling-ivanka-trump-spurs-backlash-kansas-college-71174430">ABC News</a> reported, noting, &#8220;Donors are pushing Kansas’ higher education board to fire Wichita State University’s president after he canceled a virtual speech by Ivanka Trump for its technical school’s graduation.&#8221;
Koch Industries has given at least $15 million to support basketball, business school and other programs at the university, <a href="https://www.kansas.com/news/local/education/article243430176.html">The Wichita Eagle</a> noted.
“The decision spurred a reaction from Trump, who released <a href="https://youtu.be/-dNU9e0SYIg">the speech online</a> and on Twitter cited cancel culture, calling it ‘antithetical to academia.’ It also <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/07/us/politics/ivanka-trump-speech-protests.html">drew condemnation</a> from Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, a former Republican U.S. congressman from Wichita, who said the university missed a chance to showcase itself to the rest of the nation,” Kansas.com <a href="https://www.kansas.com/news/local/education/article243382231.html">reported</a>, adding, “The <a href="https://www.kansasregents.org/">Kansas Board of Regents</a> has called a special meeting Wednesday afternoon to reportedly decide Golden’s future at the university.”
WSU Tech President Sheree Utash apologized for the timing of the announcement of Trump’s speech, referring to the timing as “insensitive.”
Ironically, Ivanka Trump’s speech started, “Thank you, Sheree, for that kind introduction. Today I am incredibly honored to address the graduates of WSU Tech. Thank you, President Utash, for the kind invitation. It has been a pleasure to work with you over the last several years and we are grateful for your service on the President’s American Workforce Policy Advisory board. Your leadership is helping Kansas and our nation to pioneer the most innovative and successful workforce training in the world.”

First daughter and senior White House advisor Ivanka Trump had strong words for students of Wichita State University and other &#8220;cancel culture&#8221; spreaders after she was summarily disinvited as WSU&#8217;s commencement speaker Saturday.
Wichita State claimed, late last week, that they&#8217;d invited Ivanka Trump to give the school&#8217;s &#8220;virtual commencement&#8221; address, but then dropped her after her father, President Donald Trump, threatened to meet protests in Washington, D.C., with military force.
WSU&#8217;s associate professor of photo media, Jennifer Ray, issued a letter on behalf of objecting faculty late last week, referencing the alleged use of tear gas by Washington, D.C., Park Police to clear protesters from in front of the White House so that President Trump could walk across the street for a photocall at historic St. John&#8217;s Church, according to the <a href="https://nypost.com/2020/06/06/ivanka-trump-calls-out-cancel-culture-after-being-dropped-as-speaker/">New York Post</a>.
The Park Police insists it used smoke bombs, not tear gas, to clear the demonstration but protesters say they discovered empty tear gas canisters near the scene of the incident.
“Ivanka Trump, obviously, represents her father’s administration as one of his closest advisors,” Ray said, in the statement, which has since been deleted. “Too many Americans, that administration has come to signify the worst of our country, particularly in its recent actions toward those peacefully protesting against racist police brutality.”
The school&#8217;s administration did not make reference to Trump or her father in their statement on the matter, saying only that, “The WSU Tech commencement plans have been refocused more centrally on students — student voices in particular.&#8221;
That didn&#8217;t sit well with Ivanka Trump, who took to Twitter to call out the forces of &#8220;cancel culture,&#8221; particularly on college campuses.
&#8220;Our nation’s campuses should be bastions of free speech. Cancel culture and viewpoint discrimination are antithetical to academia,” Trump said. “Listening to one another is important now more than ever!”
“I know that all of these talented graduates will dream big and aspire to make the world a better place!” she added.
Trump had already recorded her commencement address, so she tweeted a YouTube video of the speech, which has also been posted to the official White House website.

On Sunday morning, Tesla CEO Elon Musk created quite a stir when he apparently referenced the film “The Matrix,” tweeting, “Take the red pill,” in what was interpreted by some people as a clarion call to leftists and liberals to wake up to reality and become conservatives.
That prompted Ivanka Trump to reply on Twitter with a single word: “Taken!”
Ivanka&#8217;s reply elicited a harsh reply from Lilly Wachowski, one of the creators of “The Matrix”: “F*** both of you.”

Here&#8217;s the rules they have to follow,” by tweeting “Bravo Texas!”
Days later, speaking on a Tesla earnings call on Wednesday, Musk ramped up his rhetoric about shelter-in-place orders around the nation, calling them “fascist.” According to <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2020/4/29/21242102/elon-musk-coronavirus-fascist-shelter-in-place-tesla-covid-19-safety-science">The Verge</a>, Musk stated:

The expansion of shelter-in-place, or as we call it, forcibly imprisoning people in their homes, against all their constitutional rights, is, in my opinion, breaking people’s freedoms in ways that are horrible and wrong, and not why people came to America and built this country. What the f***!</blockquote>
He reportedly continued, “If somebody wants to stay in the house that’s great. They should be allowed to stay in the house and they should not be compelled to leave. But to say that they cannot leave their house and they will be arrested if they do&#8230; this is fascist. This is not democratic. This is not freedom. Give people back their goddamn freedom … Everything people have worked for all their lives is being destroyed in real time. I think the people are going to be very angry about this and are very angry.”

President Donald Trump and daughter Ivanka Trump hosted an event on Tuesday that featured small business owners from around the country sharing their feedback on the administration&#8217;s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which has been spearheaded by Ivanka Trump.
&#8220;Amy Wright, the owner of Bitty &amp; Beau&#8217;s Coffee Shops that currently employs 120 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, joined the president on stage to praise the &#8216;very accessible&#8217; financial aid allocated for small businesses shuttered by the coronavirus,&#8221; Fox News reported.
“We employ 120 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For most of them, it is their first paying job, which made the decision for us to temporarily close all five of our shops especially difficult,” Wright said. “But, thanks to the Paycheck Protection Program and the incredible team, all 120 employees are back on the payroll today and working from home writing handwritten notes that we include with each online order we ship.”
Michael Heup, who works for Wright, said on stage, &#8220;At Bitty &amp; Beau’s, we use the phrase ‘not broken’ &#8212; that means me and all my coworkers are not broken and we have lots to offer. I know that the great country of the United States isn&#8217;t broken either. So on behalf of myself and all the employees, thank you.&#8221;
Ivanka Trump responded to the event by telling Fox News, “Bitty &amp; Beau’s Coffee represents the backbone of our economy and the heart of American business. Through the successful Paycheck Protection Program, we have been able to give this shining light a lifeline during this unprecedented crisis. While Republicans were aggressively pushing to pass an additional funding bill to replenish the $350 billion in the PPP, Democrats blocked and stalled it from passing, which <a href="https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/apr/9/senate-democrats-block-additional-250-billion-smal/">hurt</a> American businesses and citizens.

The Republican-led Senate passed a a massive $484 billion aid package last week to help struggling small businesses, which included funds for the PPP, after Senate Democrats blocked the move to help Americans last week.
The coronavirus relief package replenishes the “small business rescue program known as the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), provide hospitals with another $75 billion and implement a nationwide virus testing program to facilitate reopening the economy,” Fox News’ Gregg Re <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/senate-leaders-reach-agreement-phase-3-5-coronavirus-stimulus-package">reported</a>. “The new deal would provide more than $300 billion for the PPP, with $60 billion or so set aside — and divided equally — for smaller banks and community lenders that seek to focus on under-banked neighborhoods and rural areas.”
The bill makes another “$60 billion available for a small-business loans and grants program delivered through an existing small-business disaster aid program, $10 billion of which would come in the form of direct grants.”
McConnell slammed Pelosi and the Democrats for their game playing, which delayed getting money to American businesses suffering from the pandemic.
“Senate Republicans wanted more funding for Americans’ paychecks nearly two weeks ago, before the program even shut down. But in the days that our Democratic colleagues delayed these urgent funds, additional federal help for hospitals, healthcare providers, and testing became timely as well,” McConnell <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-gop-senate-passes-massive-bill-to-help-americans-after-democrats-previously-blocked-it">said</a>. “Republicans have always supported more medical funding as soon as necessary. So I am proud this package will provide roughly $75 billion more to fund hospitals and healthcare providers in this crisis.”
“It’s unfortunate that it took our Democratic colleagues 12 days to agree to a deal that contains essentially nothing that Republicans ever opposed,” McConnell continued. “In my view it is indefensible that Main Street small businesses and their workers had their assistance cut off for partisan ‘leverage.’ That was the word of choice for one leading House Democrat – ‘leverage.’”

NFL quarterback Tom Brady spent two hours Wednesday morning talking to radio host Howard Stern about a variety of subjects, ranging from President Donald Trump, to First Daughter and White House advisor Ivanka Trump, to his supermodel wife, to his relationship with his former coach, the New England Patriots&#8217; Bill Belichick.
Brady was open about his friendship with the president, but <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/tiger-king-joe-exotic-is-far-more-evil-than-you-think?ref=scroll">revealed</a> that he declined an offer from Trump to speak at the 2016 Republican National Convention, telling Stern that “political support is totally different from the support of a friend.”
“I didn’t want to get into all the political [arena],” Brady added, according to <a class="LinkWrapper LinkWrapper--external" href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1247882731159158784?s=20">NFL.com</a>.
At another point during the conversation, Stern said Trump encouraged Brady to date his daughter Ivanka.
“Trump always dreamed of you marrying Ivanka, and he told me he suggested it to you – but did you ever go out with her?” the host told Brady, according to The Daily Beast.
“That was a long time ago in my life,&#8221; the QB answered, giving off a laugh. &#8220;No, there was never that, where we ever dated or anything like that.&#8221;
Stern took it a step further and suggested Trump wanted Brady to “bang Ivanka and form a relationship” or “power dynasty.”
“He never suggested that to me,&#8221; Brady responded. &#8220;Look, it all worked out for me anyway. I married the woman of my dreams. &#8230; I think I married the most amazing woman, so I have no regrets.”
Brady married supermodel Gisele Bündchen in 2009.

So many wrong assumptions were made about our relationship, or about how he felt about me. I know, genuinely, how he feels about me.&#8221;

President Trump strategically restricted China travel on January 31, and expanded the ban to Europe earlier this month.

&#8220;I’m a proud Trump Republican,&#8221; eldest Trump daughter and White House advisor Ivanka Trump told <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/02/us/politics/ivanka-trump-republican.html">The New York Times</a> during an interview published Monday.
Ivanka, always a supporter of her father President Donald Trump, has been a liberal Democrat all her life, advocating for progressive policies and registering as a Democrat in her home state of New York.
Now, that&#8217;s all changed.
The eldest Trump daughter told the NY Times that her official party switch came because of the Democratic Party itself, which Ivanka says strayed from her beliefs, and out of a desire to vote for her father in the New York primary in 2020 (New York state has a closed primary where residents can only vote within their registered party).
But the Times took note of a different fuel: the hyper-partisan impeachment proceedings against her father.
&#8220;Once seen as a moderate voice in the White House, the president’s older daughter was angered by his impeachment and plans on an active role as a fund-raiser for his re-election campaign,&#8221; Times journalists Maggie Haberman and Annie Karni wrote.
Haberman and Karni highlighted Ivanka&#8217;s recent appearance on Fox News&#8217; Sean Hannity&#8217;s show, where the White House advisor said Democrats decision to reject celebrating Trump&#8217;s successes for the country was &#8220;not forgivable.&#8221;
&#8220;For us not to come together as a nation and celebrate America&#8217;s success is not forgivable,&#8221; Ivanka told Hannity in early February, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/ivanka-trump-for-us-not-to-come-together-as-a-nation-and-celebrate-americas-success-is-not-forgivable">Fox News</a> reported. &#8220;And I think that&#8217;s why the viewers who were watching today and realizing and celebrating alongside the president, alongside the rest of this country, what is happening. Because we have completely changed the trajectory of this country.&#8221;
&#8220;And the president is unabashed in being excited about it and celebrating it and just being a cheerleader for American excellence,&#8221; she continued.
&#8220;What motivates this president and what motivates all of us who work for him is the desire to uplift all Americans, which is why it was so important to start at the beginning of the speech talking about how all Americans are benefiting from these policies,&#8221; Ivanka said of her father&#8217;s State of the Union Speech. &#8220;Especially blue-collar Americans and those who have been left behind.&#8221;
The Times reporters noted that Ivanka&#8217;s online &#8220;persona&#8221; has became more aggressive since the impeachment proceedings against her father began.
“This factional fever and incoherent, ill-conceived process has finally ended and the President has rightfully been acquitted,” the First Daughter tweeted when the Senate impeachment trial came to a close. “POTUS has accomplished so much and is just getting started. The best is yet to come!”

After a raucous campaign rally in New Hampshire, President Trump on Monday took an unannounced trip to Dover Air Force Base to take part in a somber “dignified transfer ceremony” for two 28-year-old soldiers killed in Afghanistan.
After a brief prayer inside a C-17 transport plane, the president and Vice President Mike Pence stood at attention in a light rain as two U.S. flag-draped transfer cases were carried down the plane&#8217;s ramp by six members of the military wearing white gloves. The cases contained the remains of Sgt. 1st Class Antonio R. Rodriguez, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Sgt. 1st Class Javier J. Gutierrez, of San Antonio, Texas, who both died Saturday in a firefight in Nangarhar Province.
Also attending the ceremony were people traveling with the president, including daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz.
“These were fallen heroes and we were close by and the president wrapped his rally early so he could come,” O&#8217;Brien told the press on board Air Force One.
Also in attendance were James C. McConville, Chief of Staff of the Army, SGM Michael Grinston, Sergeant Major of the Army, Maj. Gen. John Brennan, commander of 1st Special Forces Command, CSM Tomas Sandoval, Command Sergeant Major, 1st Special Forces Command, and Col. Matthew Jones, 436th Airlift Wing Commander, among others.
The scene was emotional. Eli Stokols, a reporter for the Los Angeles Times, was in the media pool for the event and filed this in a report to other journalists:
<blockquote>At 11:03 in a light rain, the marshaler directed the vehicle with the family members of both transfers onto the tarmac and it pulled to a stop. One family member broke away toward the C-17 carrying the two transfers and was wailing as other family members and a soldier gathered her on the bottom of the rear ramp.
A few moments later once the family members were beneath a canopy, the Army carry team emerged from our right and walked behind the transfer vehicle up the ramp into the rear of the C-17 aircraft. VPOTUS and POTUS followed.
After a prayer inside the aircraft out of our view, VPOTUS and POTUS walked out and stood at attention. When the carry team brought the first flag-draped transfer, SFC Javier J. Gutierrez, down to the tarmac, they saluted as the six white gloved members of the carry team walked past with the flag-draped remains and loaded it into the waiting vehicle.
Then, the same carry team did an about face and walked back up into the C-17. After another short prayer, they came out carrying the second flag-draped transfer, SFC Antonio R. Rodriguez, again passing VPOTUS and POTUS, who stood at attention, both saluting with their right hands.
When both transfers were loaded, the back doors of the vehicle were closed and the van drove away. As the carry team and official party walked past the family, POTUS gave a low thumbs up, pumping his right fist below his waist as they walked out of view at 11:31.</blockquote>
The White House said it was the first time since 2009 that the president and vice president have attended a dignified transfer together.
O’Brien also said dignified transfer ceremonies and Trump&#8217;s visits to wounded veterans at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland are the “toughest” duty of being president.
After the ceremony, Trump wrote on Twitter: &#8220;Just returned to White House from Dover. Very sad!&#8221;

On his talk radio program Wednesday, Rush Limbaugh addressed the &#8220;tremendous amount of fallout&#8221; from a Don Lemon-hosted CNN panel discussion over the weekend that devolved into the guests mocking Trump supporters as illiterate, uneducated &#8220;rubes,&#8221; while the host laughed hysterically.
Along with resulting in enough pressure that Lemon felt compelled to defend himself, insisting he doesn&#8217;t believe in &#8220;belittling people&#8221; — a response that has earned yet <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-lemon-gives-disastrous-statement-in-response-to-outrage-over-segment-mocking-republicans-critics-fire-back">more blowback</a> — the segment inspired a poignant <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-watch-gop-launches-campaign-ad-fundraiser-off-cnns-don-lemon-mocking-trump-supporters">campaign ad</a> by the Republican National Committee (RNC). The moment has gone viral, in part, Limbaugh suggests, because it shows the public that the left-wing media elite is actually what they repeatedly portray Donald Trump to be.
&#8220;These are the people that tell us Trump is unqualified ’cause he’s got bad manners, because he talks in ways that are unacceptable, and these people go out and actually say far more insulting, mocking things than Trump does,&#8221; <a href="https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2020/01/29/fallout-from-cnn-mocking-trump-voters/">said</a> Limbaugh. &#8220;It really is stunning. They say (impression), &#8216;Trump is offense to basic civility. Trump is an offense to basic manners,&#8217; and then you look at all of these people that hate him, from the intellectual Never Trumpers to the intellectual erudite media and so forth, and they’re just the epitome of what they criticize — and it was on full display Saturday night on CNN.&#8221;
The Trump supporter-mocking <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/video-of-cnn-mocking-trump-supporters-goes-viral-trump-responds-by-swatting-don-lemon">segment</a> began when Republican consultant Rick Wilson turned his insult of Trump into a mean-spirited takedown of the president&#8217;s supporters, with fellow guest New York Times reporter Wajahat Ali joining in. Providing a literally hysterical backdrop to the discussion was Lemon, bent over laughing to the point of crying as the insults flew, and eventually thanking Wilson, saying, he &#8220;needed that.&#8221;
Speaking of Sec. of State Mike Pompeo, Wilson said that he “knows deep in his heart that Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter U and a picture of an actual physical crane next to it.” The line started Lemon laughing, which he would continue to do more forcefully as the discussion went on. &#8220;He knows that this is, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world, and so that’s partly him playing to their base and playing to their audience, you know, credulous boomer rube demo that back Donald Trump, that wants to think that Donald Trump’s a smart one, and y’all — y’all elitists are dumb,” said Wilson, adopting a southern accent.
“You elitists with your geography and your maps and your spelling…” Ali joined in. “Your math, your reading,” added Wilson. “Yes, your reading, you know,” said Ali. “Your geography knowing other countries. Sipping your latte.”
When the ridiculing rant lost its steam, Lemon said, “Rick, that was a good one. I needed that.”
Amid massive backlash and with the RNC rapidly turning the moment into a campaign ad, Lemon addressed the segment at the end of his show Tuesday night by insisting that he was only laughing at the &#8220;Ukraine&#8221; joke, not at Trump&#8217;s supporters, because he does not believe in &#8220;belittling people.&#8221;
&#8220;And one final note that I have for you, because this is personally important to me to address this, OK?&#8221; Lemon <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-lemon-gives-disastrous-statement-in-response-to-outrage-over-segment-mocking-republicans-critics-fire-back">said</a> at the end of his show Tuesday night. &#8220;Anyone, ask anyone who knows me, they’ll tell you, I don’t believe in belittling people, belittling anyone for who they are, what they believe, or where they are from. During an interview on Saturday night, one of my guests said something that made me laugh and while in the moment, I found that joke humorous. And I didn’t catch everything that was said. Just to make this perfectly clear, I was laughing at the joke and not at any group of people.&#8221;
Like many others on the right, Rush wasn&#8217;t buying it. &#8220;Don, admit it. You were laughing at the characterization of Trump voters ’cause that’s what got you off, Don,&#8221; said Limbaugh. &#8220;That’s what you loved!&#8221;

A CNN panel hosted by Don Lemon on over the weekend mocked the millions of Americans who voted for President Donald Trump as “rubes” who can’t read or do basic math.
Early Tuesday morning, Trump’s daughter Ivanka took CNN to task for the panel, pointing out that the network constantly bemoans the divisions in the country while making fun of those who don’t vote Democrat.

Trump took issue with the segment, tweeting to his millions of supporters that Lemon was “the dumbest man on television (with terrible ratings!).”

So, quite the story that we have here. Secretary of Pompeo is calling Kelly — calling her a liar but she says that she told them that she would — not only did she ask about Ukraine and she followed up in writing but she says that she never agreed for the exchange after the interview off the record.
So, Rick, who do you think is a liar here?
RICK WILSON, REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST: Look, Mike Pompeo has become one of the high priests of Trumpism. In the core of Trumpism is a war on the media. And so I think Mike Pompeo is trying to cast himself as this hero and to please Donald Trump. This isn’t about whether or not she could correctly identify Ukraine on a map, this is part of their performative, you know, media hatred that they engaged on the daily.
LEMON: Wajahat, I want to bring you in. Mary Louise Kelly told NPR, an NPR co-host that before ending the interview, Pompeo, quote, leaned in and glared at her and then he tried to give her a pop quiz. I mean, what is with this intimidation mode?
WAJAHAT ALI, CNN CONTRIBUTOR: Yes, this is the pathetic insecurity of the spineless amoebas of men such as Mike Pompeo and the other men in Trump’s administration, right?
I mean, look, this is a recurring theme with Pompeo. He tried to intimidate a female reporter of the USA Today in May, he really doesn’t like it when female reporters in particular actually asking questions in our intelligence and do follow-ups. Our colleague in an affiliate in Nashville in August, same thing happened, and this time around he throws F bombs, he brings out a map. I mean, why does he have a map without countries? That’s so strange. And then she points it out. And who should we believe? Mary Louise Kelly, a veteran journalist or Mike Pompeo who this month alone has lied to the American public about imminent threats, right? And this man from Harvard has redefined imminent in a way which is completely the opposite of imminent. And then it was imminent threat to not imminent, then one embassy then four embassies. No casualties, 11 casualties, and now 34 casualties with soldiers suffering very traumatic brain injuries.
So, who are you going to believe? Mike Pompeo or Mary Louise Kelly who has the tapes? I’m going with Mary Louise Kelly.
LEMON: OK. So let’s see. Let’s look at the — OK. In the statement, Rick, the last line Pompeo’s statement says, it is worth noting that Bangladesh is not Ukraine. First of all, Kelly has a master’s degree in European studies from Cambridge University.
WILSON: Right.
LEMON: Also, he doesn’t really say that she couldn’t identify Ukraine on a map. He insinuates — it’s just a petty attempt to put her down, right? Is that what this is?
WILSON: Of course. Of course. It’s — he’s just trying to demean her, and obviously it’s false. And look, he also knows deep in his heart that Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter U and a picture of an actual physical crane next to it. He knows that this is, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world, and so that’s partly him playing to their base and playing to their audience, you know, credulous boomer rube demo that back Donald Trump, that wants to think that Donald Trump’s a smart one, and y’all — y’all elitists are dumb.
ALI: You elitists with your geography and your maps and your spelling even though —
WILSON: Your math, your reading.
ALI: Yes, your reading, you know. Your geography knowing other countries. Sipping your latte.
WILSON: All those lines on the map.
ALI: Only them elitists know where Ukraine is. Sorry. I apologize.

Almost two years after calling Ivanka Trump a &#8220;feckless c**t,&#8221; late-night host Samantha Bee is now praising the first daughter of President Trump for helping to pass a parental leave law allowing federal government employees to take up to 12 weeks off of work if they have a child.
“After decades of being behind every other country, the U.S is finally starting to make progress, thanks, in part, to lobbying from, believe it or not, <a href="https://people.com/tag/ivanka-trump/">Ivanka Trump</a>,” Bee said on &#8220;<a class="external-link" title="(opens new window)" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAGYH8VL4Gs" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" aria-describedby="external-disclaimer">Full Frontal&#8221; </a>this week. “This administration approved a law that gives 12 weeks of paid leave to federal employees who give birth, adopt or foster a child.”
“I guess even a Trump has to do something right occasionally,” she added.
Just two years ago, Samantha Bee found herself at the center of controversy when <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/samantha-bee-tears-into-feckless-cunt-ivanka-trump">she called Ivanka Trump</a> a &#8220;feckless c**t&#8221; for allegedly not confronting her father on his immigration policy, prompting a massive backlash from conservatives and even some members of the mainstream media.
“Ivanka Trump, who works at the White House, chose to post the second most oblivious tweet we’ve seen this week,” Bee said. “You know, Ivanka, that’s a beautiful photo of you and your child, but let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad’s immigration practices you feckless c**t! He listens to you. Put on something tight and low-cut and tell your father to f***ing stop it. Tell him it was an Obama thing and see how it goes, OK?”
Though hardcore media leftists defended Samantha Bee, others were less quick to be an apologist for her. CNN&#8217;s Brooke Baldwin, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/cnns-brooke-baldwin-blasts-media-double-standard-paul-bois">for instance</a>, said Bee used unacceptable language in reference to an accomplished woman.
“The same rules apply no matter which political side you call home,” Baldwin said on CNN. “Conservatives have been pointing to a double standard on how liberal stars who say these offensive things are treated, versus their conservative counterparts, and in many cases, rightfully so.”
“Whether you agree with the president’s policies or not, calling a senior adviser inside the United States government — or anyone for that matter — the ‘C’ word is, like I said at the top, it’s outrageous, it is unacceptable and should be called out,” Baldwin continued. “She could have easily made her point without using those words, a point that, by the way, is totally lost because she used that language. Doing this, she is no better than the very behavior she criticizes. In fact, she becomes part of the problem.&#8221;
After significant backlash, <a href="https://qz.com/1299620/samantha-bees-apology-for-calling-ivanka-trump-a-feckless-c-word-is-perfect/">Bee eventually apologized</a> for using the word &#8220;c**t&#8221; as an insult rather than a word she hoped to reclaim.
“A lot of people were offended and angry that I used an epithet to describe the president’s daughter and adviser last week. It is a word I have used on the show many times, hoping to reclaim it. But this time I used it as an insult. I crossed the line. I regret it and I do apologize for it,” Bee said. “The problem is that many women have heard that word at the worst moments of their lives, and a lot of them don’t want that word reclaimed — they want it gone. And I don’t blame them. I don’t want to inflict more pain on them. I want this show to be challenging and I want it to be honest.&#8221;

On Tuesday, White House advisor Ivanka Trump was confronted by aggressive CNN reporter and avid self-promoter Jim Acosta at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Mr. Acosta rushed Ivanka as she was coming down a flight of stairs at the forum. &#8220;Your father’s impeachment trial is today, what are your thoughts?” he questioned the eldest Trump daughter. &#8220;Any comment on your father&#8217;s impeachment trial?&#8221;
Ivanka brushed off Acosta and walked around him. As she continued on her walk, Acosta can be heard repeating his questions concerning impeachment.

Acosta had his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-secret-service-takes-jim-acostas-press-ryan-saavedra">hard press pass temporarily revoked</a> in 2018 after he physically pushed back against a young female White House intern trying to grab the communal mic.
&#8220;I’ve just been denied entrance to the [White House]. Secret Service just informed me I cannot enter the [White House] grounds for my 8pm hit,” Acosta posted at the time.
Then-White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders issued a statement on the matter: “President Trump believes in a free press and expects and welcomes tough questions of him and his administration,” she said. “We will, however, never tolerate a reporter placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern.”
&#8220;This conduct is absolutely unacceptable. It is also completely disrespectful to the reporter’s colleagues not to allow them an opportunity to ask a question. President Trump has given the press more access than any president in history,&#8221; added Sanders.
Acosta has sparked issues with President Donald Trump on numerous occasions. Just last week, for example, the president told the reporter to be &#8220;quiet&#8221; after continuous interruptions.
The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-cnns-acosta-interrupts-one-time-too-many-trump-shuts-him-up-with-one-word">reported</a>: &#8220;President Trump spoke to reporters who were asking him about Lev Parnas, an associate of Rudy Giuliani who claims Trump was aware of efforts to get information about rival presidential candidates. In the process, CNN’s Jim Acosta, as per his usual style, kept interrupting Trump, at which point Trump looked at him and shut him down, saying sternly, &#8216;Quiet.'&#8221;
After Acosta interrupted Trump at least three times, the president looked directly at the reporter and told him, “Quiet.”
In a post published Monday, Ivanka said she was attending the Davos forum on behalf of the White House.

On Thursday night, supermodel Karlie Kloss responded to jabs made at her expense due to her relation to the Kushners.
Kloss is married to Joshua Kushner, who is the brother of Jared Kushner, prominent White House advisor and husband to eldest Trump daughter Ivanka Trump.
Joining Bravo host Andy Cohen on &#8220;Watch What Happens Live,&#8221; Kloss was asked about an apparent jab &#8220;Project Runway&#8221; contestant Tyler Neasloney made earlier this month about the supermodel&#8217;s familial connection to the Kushners. After he designed a widely panned dress, Neasloney suggested Kloss could wear it to a &#8220;dinner with the Kushners.&#8221;
The remark elicited a meme-able stunned look from Kloss, as well as gasps from fellow contestants.
Neasloney, who was sent home, later apologized for the comment. “I want you to know that I’m not a jerk; I’m professional,” he told Kloss. “What I said earlier had no hidden agenda, no meaning, no nothing like that.”

However, Kloss was unable to skirt the political issue, as Cohen pressed about an inside look into her politics.
“Andy, I’m sure I’m not the only person in this country who does not necessarily agree with their family on politics,&#8221; Kloss responded. &#8220;I voted as a Democrat in 2016, and I plan to do the same in 2020.&#8221;
“It was 2012 [when we met], it was a different world,” she later added, referring to meeting her now-husband. “My man and I have been through a lot together. I’m so proud that he’s my partner. It’s not been easy, but it’s worth it. I would make that same decision a million times again.”
As noted by Vanity Fair, the supermodel opened up to British Vogue last year about the political mix within the Kushner family.
&#8220;I choose to focus on the values that I share with my husband, and those are the same liberal values that I was raised with and that have guided me throughout my life,” the 27-year-old said.
Kloss, an open liberal, has promoted abortion facility Planned Parenthood in the past. In response to passed pro-life legislation in 2019, for example, the model took to Instagram to ask her fans to support to the abortion mill.
“I want to talk to you about what’s happening in my beloved home state of Missouri and around the country,&#8221; Kloss said, according to <a href="https://www.democracynow.org/2019/6/11/headlines/model_karlie_kloss_asks_fans_to_support_planned_parenthood_in_abortion_ban_fight">Democracy Now</a>. &#8220;We are in an urgent public health crisis. And for the first time since Roe v. Wade, more than 1.1 million women of reproductive age in Missouri could be left without access to a single health center in their state that provides safe abortion care. Across the country, these bans are attacking our rights to own our decisions that affect our bodies and our health.”

And both already spend a lot of time in the White House.
A new poll found that Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump are two of the top four picks by Republicans for the 2024 presidential nomination.
The poll, conducted by <a href="https://www.surveymonkey.com/curiosity/axiossurveymonkey-2024-presidential-vote-poll-gop/">Survey Monkey</a> and Axios, puts Vice President Mike Pence at the top of the list, with 40% of Republicans saying they&#8217;d vote for him in 2024. Trump Jr. had 29%, followed by former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley with 26%. And Ivanka, the president’s eldest daughter, came in at 16% support.
Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott were the only other candidates in double digits.
&#8220;An early poll like this is largely a measure of name ID. But it&#8217;s also a vivid illustration of just how strong Trump&#8217;s brand is with the GOP,&#8221; <a href="https://www.axios.com/2024-election-polls-republicans-60f37160-a4fb-48e6-b054-22bd303604a6.html">Axios</a> wrote.
<blockquote>The big picture: Don Jr. has emerged as one of the most prominent defenders of his dad, frequently going after the left on Twitter, where he has 4.2 million followers, and serving as a popular warm-up act for presidential rallies.</blockquote>

Lloyd Green, a book reviewer for <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/nov/03/triggered-review-donald-trump-jr">The Guardian</a>, wrote that Don Jr.&#8217;s book was “a better campaign biography than most” and was “best viewed as the opening salvo of the Trump child with real political chops.&#8221;
The president’s oldest child, Green wrote, “truly connects with the party’s base” and “is convention speech [in 2016] warranted the attention it received.&#8221;
<blockquote>Don Jr offers a less impulsive and younger version of the incumbent. He’s a bona fide hunter and outdoorsman. For him, guns aren’t a prop. In a rifle-centric party, that counts for plenty. Unlike Jared Kushner, there’s a there there and he’s a lot more fun than Mike Pence.</blockquote>
“Bottom line, come 2024 Don Jr. could well be on the ticket,&#8221; Green wrote.
Ivanka has been even more active. She goes to the White House nearly every day and has the title &#8220;Adviser to the President.&#8221; She has worked on education programs and economic empowerment of women and families, including pay equity. &#8220;She has championed paid family leave, which she says is &#8216;grounded in conservative values of work and of family,&#8217; and said on the edition of CBS News&#8217; &#8216;Face the Nation&#8217; aired on Dec. 29: &#8216;[W]e have made more progress on paid family leave than in the 25 years since the Family and Medical Leave Act was passed,'&#8221; Axios reported.
Ivanka also travels the world to serve as Trump&#8217;s representative. She has also pushed the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative.
“A White House initiative spearheaded by Ivanka Trump to help women in developing countries get ahead economically announced its first batch of grants on Wednesday: $27 million for 14 projects in 22 countries, mostly in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. The Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative was launched in February with an initial investment of $50 million from the U.S. Agency for International Development,&#8221; the <a href="https://apnews.com/f53f6d5853c84eccafc68d047a761244">Associated Press</a> reported in July.
