A security operation launched by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir earlier this week seized weapons from Palestinians in Jerusalem, including toy pistols modified to use live ammunition.

11 toy pistols modified to use live ammunition were taken, according to Israel National News.

“Our governance in the eastern part of the city should be clear to everyone,” Ben-Gvir said. “I thank the security forces and the police who operate in the area all the time. We need to significantly increase our activity and our war on terrorism, and I am working non-stop to see this carried out. To do this we must significantly increase the police budget and the police’s operational abilities and add more police officers to restore our governance.”

A report from last July revealed hundreds of Palestinian children as young as seven were taught to handle automatic weapons at a Palestinian summer camp. Additionally, they were taught to celebrate Palestinians who murdered Jews.

Palestinian terrorist attacks on Jews and others in Jerusalem have proliferated since the installation of Israel’s new tough, right-wing government. On January 27, seven Jews, including a 14-year-old boy, were murdered by a Palestinian terrorist after they left Shabbat services at a synagogue. Among the dead were Natali and Eli Mizrahi, who were newly married; Natali was reportedly doing CPR on one of the victims when she was shot to death.

On February 10, three Jews were murdered, including two brothers ages six and eight, by a Palestinian who rammed them with his vehicle at a bus stop. The 31-year-old suspect attacked the crowd while driving a blue Mazda near the Tomb of Samuel (Nebi Samuel National Park) at about 1:30 p.m., killing the young man, identified as Alter Shlomo Laderman, and two brothers, identified as Yaakov Israel Palley, 6, and Asher Menachem Pellay, 8. Yaakov died on Friday from the attack, his brother died on Saturday.

“During Shabbat, the 8-year-old Asher Menachem Pally, who was critically wounded in the Ramot attack, passed away,” Shaare Zedek medical center said. “The boy arrived in critical condition on CPR and many teams from the trauma unit, from the ER, the pediatric intensive care, pediatric surgery and neurosurgery fought for his life for many hours, but sadly they had to pronounce him dead.”

On February 13, a 13-year-old Palestinian stabbed Border Police officer Staff Sgt. Asil Sawaed to death.
