<p>The IRS officials who came forward and blew the whistle on the Biden administration obstructing a federal investigation into President Joe Biden&#8217;s son, Hunter Biden, slammed the president for pardoning his son on Sunday night for the crimes that he committed.</p>
<p>The statement from the two whistleblowers came after Biden issued a sweeping pardon for every crime his son committed or may have committed during an 11 year period.</p>
<p>&#8220;No amount of lies or spin can hide the simple truth that the Justice Department nearly let the President&#8217;s son off the hook for multiple felonies,&#8221; said IRS Whistleblowers Supervisory Special Agent Gary Shapley and Special Agent Joe Ziegler in a joint statement.</p>
<p>&#8220;We did our duty, told the truth, and followed the law,&#8221; they continued. &#8220;Anyone reading the President&#8217;s excuses now should remember that Hunter Biden admitted to his tax crimes in federal court, that Hunter Biden&#8217;s attorneys have targeted us for our lawful whistleblower disclosures, and that we are suing one of those attorneys for smearing us with false accusations.&#8221;</p>
<p>They said that Biden put &#8220;his thumb on the scales of justice for his son&#8221; and that the entire world was able to see his corruption because he was forced to do it by issuing a pardon rather than &#8220;his political appointees doing it secretly behind the scenes.&#8221;</p>

<p>Congress received testimony from the whistleblowers in 2023 that exposed efforts from the Biden administration to keep Hunter Biden from being charged.</p>
<p>The Biden DOJ and Hunter Biden’s legal team settled the matter last summer in a “sweetheart plea deal” that later fell apart under scrutiny by a judge who raised concerns about an immunity clause.</p>
