Beauty influencer Jackie Miller James has woke up from her medically-induced coma and for the first time has met reunited with the daughter who she gave birth to a month ago, her family wrote.
In a post on the 35-year-old’s Instagram on Sunday, James’ family said their prayers have been answered and Jackie is awake after she had experienced a ruptured aneurysm while nine months pregnant, People magazine reported.
“We are beyond thrilled to share that your loving prayers for Jackie have been working!” the family wrote. “Jackie is awake and was recently transferred to one of the best neurological rehabilitation hospitals in the country.”
“The doctors have been pleased upon her latest tests, numbers, and evaluations, noting that Jackie is performing above expectations at this stage of her recovery and is progressing more with every passing day,” the message added.

The post noted that while the lifestyle influencer has made strides she has “an incredibly long road to recovery ahead of her.”
“The prayers, love, and support from this community are more important than ever as she continues to heal,” the family added.
The post included a message about how the mother has “recently been reunited with her baby [girl], and spends a great deal of each day with her entire family while in the hospital.”
A caption next to the post read, “Thanking each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued love. We are eternally grateful for this strong community that continues to support our girl. Love, Jackie’s Family.”
The social media post concluded with a message that out of respect for the influencer’s privacy, it will be James alone who will “share any further updates” about her condition going forward “in her own unique way, if and when she is ready.”
A month ago, James was at home just a week away from giving birth, when she suffered an aneurysm rupture that led to severe brain bleeding and injury. Her husband found her and rushed her to the hospital.
James was placed in a medically induced coma and gave birth via an emergency C-Section to their daughter. The little girl was hospitalized in a neonatal intensive care unit for 12 days before going home. In the family’s update, they shared that Jame’s daughter is continuing to “grow into a happy, healthy, and animated little angel.”
