<p>A 25-year-old illegal immigrant was arrested following a deadly hit-and-run in Dormont, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night.</p>
<p>Police in Dormont, a suburb of Pittsburgh, identified Saul Rivera-Ramirez as the suspect on Sunday after the illegal immigrant, who was driving a red Ford Taurus, allegedly struck and killed 23-year-old Christian Sulka, who was on a motorcycle, WPXI Channel 11 News <a href="https://www.wpxi.com/news/local/man-arrested-after-hit-and-run-crash-dormont-that-left-motorcyclist-dead/ZGHOVZHSVBDPTGVHAXQQX2QFGI/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. Rivera-Ramirez <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/pittsburgh/news/dormont-deadly-hit-and-run/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> fled the scene of the fatal crash on foot with a woman and a small child before he was arrested. He now <a href="https://www.wpxi.com/news/local/suspect-deadly-hit-and-run-crash-dormont-is-undocumented-immigrant-police-say/XRK2D5Y6ENA75AWOGY6M2YKSW4/?taid=66f189828956bb0001b6f188&amp;utm_campaign=trueanthem&amp;utm_medium=trueanthem&amp;utm_source=twitter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">faces</a> multiple charges, including homicide by vehicle and driving without a license.</p>
<p>Allegheny County authorities confirmed that detectives found that the suspect is in the U.S. illegally.</p>
<p>&#8220;Detectives contacted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and we would defer any further questions about Rivera-Ramirez’s immigration status to that agency,&#8221; authorities said in a statement.</p>
<p>Pennsylvania GOP Senate candidate Dave McCormick addressed reports of the fatal hit-and-run in a post on X, slamming the &#8220;liberal immigration policies&#8221; of his Democratic opponents.</p>
<p>&#8220;Devastating news. A 23-year-old Pennsylvanian was killed in Allegheny County by an illegal immigrant who fatally struck him with a car and then ran away,&#8221; McCormick <a href="https://x.com/davemccormickpa/status/1838256958295416996?s=46&amp;t=o-U3qwC25WnWaylJ0oeG7Q" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>. &#8220;Bob Casey and Kamala Harris&#8217; weak, liberal immigration policies are deadly. We need STRONG leadership to keep PA safe!&#8221;</p>
<p>Illegal immigrants in Tennessee and North Carolina have also recently been charged with fatal hit-and-runs. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/illegal-immigrant-confesses-to-killing-nashville-man-in-hit-and-run" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ulises Martinez</a>, a 29-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico, allegedly struck 42-year-old restaurant owner Matt Carney in Nashville on June 19, and Carney died from his injuries two weeks later. A Nashville judge dismissed three felony charges against Martinez months before the fatal hit-and-run.</p>

<p>Last month in North Carolina, Maria Concepcion Cardona Alejo, 41, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dem-judge-sentences-suspected-illegal-immigrant-to-just-120-days-in-jail-for-fatal-hit-and-run" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pleaded guilty</a> to driving without a license and a hit-and-run that killed 20-year-old Michael Archuleta. North Carolina Superior Court Judge Tiffany Powers, a Democrat, sentenced Alejo to just 120 days in jail. Between 2009 and 2021, Alejo was given a citation at least seven times for driving without a license and slapped with small fines for the infractions.</p>
