<p>An illegal immigrant bolted into a daycare to shield herself from ICE agents in Chicago on Wednesday.</p>
<p>Federal agents were seen wrangling the Colombian woman, who appeared to yell and fight back after she reportedly ran from them.</p>
<p>The officers had tried to pull her over on the road, but the driver accompanying her refused to stop the car, <a href="https://x.com/DHSgov/status/1986171260464742835" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Department of Homeland Security. That led to a vehicle pursuit that ended in a shopping center, where the driver and the illegal immigrant target jumped out and ran inside the Rayito de Sol Spanish Immersion Early Learning Center.</p>
<p>ICE arrested her in the building&#8217;s vestibule, not inside the school, according to DHS.</p>
<p>Democratic Illinois Rep. Mike Quigley shared the shocking video, falsely accusing ICE of snatching &#8220;a preschool teacher without a warrant IN FRONT OF CHILDREN in my district.&#8221;</p>
<p>And DHS was quick to correct Quigley.</p>
<p>&#8220;Congressman, you are deliberately misrepresenting the facts,&#8221; the agency wrote on X.</p>
<p>&#8220;ICE law enforcement did NOT target a daycare and were only at this location because the female illegal alien fled inside,&#8221; they added.</p>
<p>The illegal immigrant, whose name has yet to be officially released, crossed the border in 2023, <a href="https://x.com/BillMelugin_/status/1986164248695681282" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to Fox News. Her children were smuggled in just last month.</p>
<p>During her arrest, she tried to lie about her identity and denied that she knew the male driver in her car, saying she &#8220;just picked him up from a bus stop,&#8221; according to DHS.</p>

<p>The Trump administration previously reversed a policy that prevented ICE agents from entering schools or churches, but has maintained that &#8220;they don&#8217;t raid or target schools.&#8221;</p>
<p>Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin <a href="https://www.dhs.gov/news/2025/09/09/dhs-sets-record-straight-ice-does-not-raid-schools" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in September that ICE &#8220;is not going to schools to make arrests of children,&#8221; rather that it wants to ensure &#8220;Criminals are no longer able to hide in America’s schools to avoid arrest.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;The Trump Administration will not tie the hands of our brave law enforcement and instead trusts them to use common sense. If a dangerous illegal alien felon were to flee into a school, or a child sex offender is working as an employee, there may be a situation where an arrest is made to protect public safety. But this has not happened,&#8221; McLaughlin said at the time.</p>
