A horrifying note reportedly found on the body of a dead Hamas terrorist referred to the Israeli people as “a disease that has no cure” and directed Hamas militants to behead Jews and cut out their hearts in the name of Allah.
An aide gave the note to Israel Defense Forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari, who said that it was a directive instructing Hamas militants on what to do when they encountered Israelis. He reportedly said the note was taken from the body of one of the Hamas terrorists who was inside the Israeli border.

“CBS This Morning” showed the note that had been handed to Hagari — a small slip of paper covered in Arabic writing, worn around the edges and from being folded inside a plastic bag. A CBS reporter pointed out that they could not fully authenticate the note, but that it appeared to be real.
“You must sharpen the blades of your swords and be pure in your intentions before Allah. Know that the enemy is a disease that has no cure, except beheading and removing the hearts and livers. Attack them!” a report from The Jerusalem Post offered a translation of the note.
Hagari was given the chance to respond during the CBS interview, and he said, “The 7th of October massacre is something that I haven’t seen through my life. This is a war we have to fight. There is only one goal: defeat Hamas. Kill the leaders of terror, and bring out people back home.”
Anchor Tony Dokoupil asked what message Hagari would send “to the people who wrote that note,” and to those who had kidnapped Israelis and others and taken them into Gaza as hostages.
“We have only one country. It’s Israel,” Hagari replied. “It’s our democracy. It’s our country. We’re not going anywhere. We’re going to fight for our country, and we’re going to use all the means we can.”
