<p>Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI) attempted to use some of her time during a Wednesday hearing to get Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to answer a question based on the assumption that President Donald Trump would give troops an unlawful order.</p>
<p>Hegseth, who was on Capitol Hill for another round of contentious hearings, made it abundantly clear that he was not going to allow Hirono to dictate the framing of his response.</p>

<p>Hirono framed her question against the backdrop of the violence and riots over Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity in Los Angeles — which had resulted in President Donald Trump deploying first California National Guard troops and then U.S. Marines to the city to protect federal property and personnel. She asked Hegseth whether he or others would carry out an order from Trump to &#8220;shoot peaceful protesters in the legs.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Would you carry out such an order?&#8221; she asked.</p>
<p>&#8220;Senator, as I have said before, of course, I reject the premise of your question,&#8221; Hegseth shot back. &#8220;And the characterization that I would be given or am given unlawful orders, it’s all meant to smear the Commander in Chief, and I won&#8217;t fall for it.&#8221;</p>
<p>Hirono&#8217;s question echoed some of the claims made by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mad-maxine-maxine-waters-harasses-ice-agents-are-you-going-to-shoot-an-elected-official">Rep. Maxine Waters</a> (D-CA) when she joined protesters in the streets of Los Angeles and taunted the ICE agents who&#8217;d been sent to enforce federal immigration law. After wildly claiming that the agents probably had orders to shoot people, she shouted at the agents, &#8220;Why do you have guns? What are you going to do, you going to shoot some kid who’s afraid of you and runs? You going to shoot an elected official? If you shoot me, you better shoot straight.&#8221;</p>

<p>&#8220;The View&#8221; hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin claimed on Wednesday that black people in America were worse off than people living under Iran&#8217;s oppressive regime, a claim that was immediately challenged by others at the table.</p>
<p>During a broader conversation about the ongoing war between Israel and Iran, Hostin claimed that Israel&#8217;s strike on Iran had not been legal. Goldberg argued that the legality of Israel&#8217;s actions should be decided by international bodies like the United Nations. But when cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin suggested that they should consider the possibility that Iran was a bad actor, the whole conversation quickly went off the rails.</p>

<p>&#8220;Let’s just remember too, the Iranians literally throw gay people off of buildings, they don’t adhere to basic human rights,” Alyssa Farah Griffin began.</p>
<p>&#8220;Listen, here&#8217;s the thing — let’s not do the — let&#8217;s not do that, because if we start with that, we have been known in this country to tie gay folks to the car,&#8221; Goldberg objected.</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m sorry, but where the Iranian regime is today is nothing compared to the United States,&#8221; said Griffin.</p>
<p>&#8220;They used to just keep hanging black people!&#8221; Goldberg added.</p>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s not even the same,&#8221; Griffin repeated.</p>
<p>&#8220;Oh no! Oh, wait, wait, wait! That&#8217;s not what you mean to say! It is the same,&#8221; Goldberg declared.</p>
<p>&#8220;No, it&#8217;s not. The year 2025 in the United States is nothing like if stepped foot were this outfit in Tehran right now,&#8221; Griffin continued. &#8220;I can&#8217;t have my hair showing, I can&#8217;t wear a skirt, I can&#8217;t have my arms out.&#8221;</p>
<p>Everyone began talking at once, and Goldberg eventually broke through. &#8220;That&#8217;s why I am saying that it is the same. Murdering someone for their differences not good whoever does it. It&#8217;s not good. So that&#8217;s why I said you weren&#8217;t saying — what I heard was not what you meant.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I think it&#8217;s very different to live in the United States in 2025 than it is to live in Iran,&#8221; Griffin did not back down.</p>
<p>&#8220;Not if you&#8217;re black,&#8221; Goldberg claimed.</p>
<p>&#8220;Not for everybody,&#8221; Hostin agreed.</p>
<p>&#8220;Not if you&#8217;re black,&#8221; Goldberg said again.</p>
<p>&#8220;Guys, don&#8217;t go to Tehran. No one at this table should go to Tehran,&#8221; Griffin insisted. &#8220;There are places much darker than this country.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Not everybody feels that way! Not everybody feels that way!&#8221; Goldberg said.</p>

‘The View’ Goes Sideways When Two Cohosts Claim Black Americans Are Worse Off Than Iranians

<p>President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he knew &#8220;exactly&#8221; where Iranian &#8220;Supreme Leader&#8221; Ali Khamenei was hiding, but that he had no plans to act on that information as of yet.</p>
<p>Trump made the announcement in a post to his Truth Social platform, hinting that while the ayatollah was &#8220;safe for now,&#8221; continued attacks by the Iranian regime against Israeli civilian populations could drive him past the limits of his patience.</p>
<p>&#8220;We know exactly where the so-called &#8216;Supreme Leader&#8217; is hiding,&#8221; the president posted. &#8220;He is an easy target, but is safe there — We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!&#8221;</p>

<p>Trump also posted a message warning the Iranian regime, &#8220;We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured &#8216;stuff.&#8217; Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.&#8221;</p>

<p>Trump has made his position on Iran clear for more than a decade, saying repeatedly that the United States could not allow rogue nations to develop nuclear weapons.</p>
<p>Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also drawn a red line at a nuclear-capable Iran, explaining in the aftermath of Israel&#8217;s preemptive strike that Iran&#8217;s refusal to halt the pursuit of nuclear weapons had left him with no choice but to stop them by force. Israel has since targeted Iranian nuclear sites and military commanders in an attempt to cripple both the Iranian regime&#8217;s nuclear program and its ability to strike Israel.</p>

‘He Is An Easy Target’: Trump Says He Knows ‘Exactly’ Where The Ayatollah Is Hiding

<p>Israeli secret service operatives used a fake phone call to trigger what appeared to be an &#8220;emergency meeting&#8221; among Iran&#8217;s top military leaders — and then targeted the location of the meeting.</p>
<p>According to a <a href="https://www.thejc.com/news/israel/israeli-secret-services-used-fake-phone-call-to-lure-irans-air-force-elite-to-their-deaths-ejqk7guy">report</a> published Tuesday by The Jewish Chronicle, Mossad used Iranian communication channels as part of a coordinated disinformation campaign targeting top Iranian Air Force officials and luring them all to the same location for what they believed to be an important meeting.</p>
<p>Amit Segal told the <em>Call Me Back</em> podcast on Monday: “What Israel did was create a fake phone call for 20 members of the air force senior staff an calling them to a specific bunker in Tehran.”</p>
<p>This meant there was no one to give the order to fire the initial salvo of 1,000 ballistic missiles as Iran had previously threatened to do, he added.</p>
<p>The added bonus for the Israelis was that Iranian military leadership was essentially crippled from the moment of Israel’s first strike against the world’s top sponsor of terrorism.</p>
<p>As The Chronicle reported, Mossad had used “falsified communications through Iranian channels” to call the meeting — which successfully lured “the entire senior leadership of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force, including Commander General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, his deputies, and key technical personnel, into a fortified bunker outside Tehran.”</p>
<p>Shortly before the first Israeli missiles struck other targets across Iran, “that bunker was hit in a precision airstrike, eliminating Iran’s top missile command.”</p>
<p>As a result, no one was “alive to give the command to strike back” when Israel hit Iran with the first missile barrage.</p>
<p>Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that his country had no choice but to act as Iran has continued to pursue nuclear weapons capabilities — and President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly voiced support for Israel, has said on numerous television appearances dating back more than a decade that the Iranian regime could not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.</p>

Fake Israeli Phone Call Triggered Meeting Of Iranian Leaders. Then Israel Targeted Meeting Location.

<p>FBI Director Kash Patel announced on Tuesday that the FBI had uncovered documents pertaining to an &#8220;alleged Chinese plot to create fake mail-in ballots&#8221; ahead of the 2020 presidential election.</p>
<p>Patel shared a screenshot of a headline from Just the News that read, &#8220;FBI gives Congress intel on alleged Chinese plot to create fake mail-in ballots in 2020&#8221; — along with his own comment confirming that the FBI had, in fact, turned such information over to Congress for additional scrutiny.</p>
<p>&#8220;The FBI has located documents which detail alarming allegations related to the 2020 U.S. election, including allegations of interference by the CCP. I have immediately declassified the material and turned the documents over to the Chairman Grassley for further review,&#8221; Patel posted.</p>

<p>According to the <a href="https://justthenews.com/accountability/political-ethics/fbi-gives-congress-intel-alleged-chinese-plot-create-fake-mail">report</a> published by Just the News, the alleged scheme involved the mass production of fake American driver&#8217;s licenses. The intelligence reports that raised the concern were from August of 2020 — and have now been declassified by Patel and turned over to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA).</p>
<p>Grassley knew of the intelligence reports, and had been concerned that they had never been properly investigated at the time. Instead, after President Joe Biden took office in January of 2021, his newly confirmed Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines declassified an <a href="https://www.dni.gov/files/ODNI/documents/assessments/ICA-declass-16MAR21.pdf">intelligence report</a> in March stating that there had been no attempt by Communist China to interfere in the outcome of the election.</p>
<p>That report, declassified on March 10, 2021, stated in part, &#8220;We have no indications that any foreign actor attempted to alter any technical aspect of the voting process in the 2020 US elections, including voter registration, casting ballots, vote tabulation, or reporting results.&#8221;</p>
<p>With regard to China, the report said, &#8220;We assess that China did not deploy interference efforts and considered but did not deploy influence efforts intended to change the outcome of the US Presidential election.&#8221;</p>
<p>The report also determined that Iran had made attempts to influence the election in Biden&#8217;s favor, but had not been successful in doing so.</p>

Kash Patel Reveals China May Have Plotted To Flood U.S. With Fake Mail-In Ballots In 2020

<p>Performer Boy George lashed out at author JK Rowling, calling her a &#8220;rich, bored bully&#8221; over a comment she made on X, and it backfired immediately.</p>
<p>The exchange began with Rowling, who asked a simple question: &#8220;Which rights have been taken away from trans people?&#8221;</p>
<p>Someone responded to her, referring to her as a Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist (TERF) and saying, &#8220;The freedom to live without constant persecution, which you and your TERFarmy have taken from them.&#8221;</p>
<p>Rowling was not buying that, and replied, &#8220;When ‘persecution’ is redefined to mean ‘not being allowed to reorganise society based on unfalsifiable feelings, to compel everyone else’s speech and belief and to take rights away from other protected groups’ you’ll be absolutely right.&#8221;</p>

<p>The &#8220;Harry Potter&#8221; author availed herself then of the opportunity to explain her point further, telling the musician, &#8220;There are many differences between us, George, but some are particularly relevant to this debate. 1. You&#8217;re a man and I&#8217;m a woman. 2. You&#8217;ve been wealthy and famous since your early 20s. I didn&#8217;t become well known until I was well over 30. 3. I&#8217;ve never been given 15 months for handcuffing a man to a wall and beating him with a chain. 4. I believe in freedom of speech and belief.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;For more than half my life I was a regular anonymous person,&#8221; Rowling continued. &#8220;Some of those years were spent in poverty. That&#8217;s why I understand the importance of single-sex spaces for women who&#8217;re reliant on state-funded services. That&#8217;s why I understand why mixed public changing rooms are a problem for women. That&#8217;s why I have a problem with men &#8216;identifying&#8217; into women&#8217;s rape crisis centres, domestic abuse and homeless shelters that are supposed to be single-sex.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t stand against gender identity ideology because I personally still need those services, but because my life has taught me exactly how vulnerable women are when they don&#8217;t have the money/influence I have now,&#8221; she added. &#8220;You yourself have been convicted of violent assault. The overwhelming number of people who commit crimes of violence are male, just like you. That&#8217;s why I don&#8217;t want to see men identifying into women&#8217;s prison cells or any of the spaces mentioned above. Not all men are violent or predatory, but enough are to make safeguarding necessary.&#8221;</p>
<p>Rowling concluded with a jab at the artist&#8217;s public persona – which was always rooted in individuality and freedom of expression — and argued that he was caving to the crowd by taking the position he had on gender ideology.</p>
<p>&#8220;Lastly, I&#8217;m a writer who believes in freedom of speech and belief. As we both know, the safe, fashionable thing in the arts world right now is to do exactly what you&#8217;re doing: parrot TWAW and sneer at the unenlightened plebs who think sex is important and matters. For a man who was once all about non-conformity, George, you couldn&#8217;t have become more predictably or more tediously conformist,&#8221; she said.</p>
