Britney Spears deleted her Instagram account just after posting about her upcoming collaboration with Elton John.

This isn’t the first time the pop star disappeared from the platform, but fans found the timing a little strange. Spears, 40, headed to Twitter to discuss her new song with the music legend and talk about her mental health.

“I’m learning everyday is a clean slate to try and be a better person and do what makes me happy … yes I choose happiness today. I tell myself every day to let go of the hurt bitterness and try to forgive myself and others to what may have been hurtful,” she shared to Twitter.

“I want to be fearless like when I was younger and not be so scared and fearful. I pray there actually is truth to the Holy Spirit and I hope that spirit is with my children as well !!! Yes … I choose happiness and joy today!!!”

Spears also reposted the announcement about her new song with John, which is especially significant considering that it’s her first release since the end of her conservatorship last fall.

“[M]y first song in 6 years 🎶 !!!! It’s pretty damn cool that I’m singing with one of the most classic men of our time … @eltonofficial!!!!” she wrote. Spears also said she has been “meditating more” and “learning [her] space is valuable and precious.”

The singer’s Instagram has become controversial recently, especially since the “Slave 4 U” singer kept posting nude photos of herself to the platform. Some fans questioned why Spears kept sharing those types of images while others applauded her choices.

Every other time Spears deleted her account, she was back in a couple of days. The singer did not indicate whether her break from Instagram was permanent or not.

The pop star recently made headlines because of drama with her ex-husband, Keven Federline, who accused Spears of driving away the couple’s two teenage sons. He alluded to the fact that she did this in part by posting racy photos to social media.

“This whole thing has been hard to watch, harder to live through, harder to watch my boys go through than anything else,” Federline said in part, as The Daily Wire originally reported. “It’s been tough. It’s the most challenging thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.”

“I try to explain to [the boys], ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself,’” he continued. “But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough. I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school.”
