Hulk Hogan and his wife were baptized 18 months before the wrestler died, Hogan’s social media account shows.
Terry Gene Bollea, known by most as pro-wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, died Thursday morning at the age of 71.
A social media post from December 2023 shows Hogan and his wife, Sky Daily, being baptized at the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida.
“Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life,” Hogan wrote. “No worries, no hate, no judgment … only love!”

In a previous post from April 2023, Hogan said he was “one with God.”
“I accepted Christ as my savior at 14yrs old, and the training, prayers and vitamins kept me in the game but now that I am one with God, the main event theme of surrender, service and love makes me the Real Main Event that can slam any giant of any size through the power of my Lord and Savior and so it is, even now brother, AMEN!” Hogan wrote.

Tributes have poured in after Hogan’s death, with some celebrating and reflecting on the wrestler’s baptism and faith.
“Hulk Hogan left us with many memories, but his greatest legacy is that 18 months ago, he and his wife were baptized and gave their lives to Jesus Christ,” Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk said.
“This part makes my heart happy,” journalist Nick Sortor said. “Hulk is now with the Lord in Heaven.”
“Hulk’s life, like so many of ours, had ups and downs, but in the end, he found the only foundation that never fails,” evangelical ministry Focus on the Family said.
Hogan’s cause of death has not been disclosed. Clearwater police wrote on Facebook that they had been dispatched to Hogan’s house on an emergency call for cardiac arrest Thursday morning. Hogan was transported to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Hogan was outspoken about his faith after his baptism.
“Knowing of Jesus and knowing Him are two different things,” he said in an interview with TBN. “You don’t need to be cleaned up. Come to Him, and He’ll clean you up.”
Hogan said he had the word “immortal” tattooed across his back as a reminder of his faith.
“I got to a point in my life, before I met Sky, before I had the baptism, where I’d had enough, I was sick and tired of myself,” Hogan said. “And I decided to turn back to my faith, and one of the things I did was I put that crazy tattoo on my back, immortal, meaning, you know, I accepted Christ as my savior, and he died for my sins, and I’ll live forever.”
