Howard Stern labeled actor Johnny Depp a “huge narcissist” and accused the fallen Hollywood heavyweight of “overacting” on the witness stand in his defamation suit against former paramour Amber Heard.

During the Sirius XM “The Howard Stern Show” Monday, the host and his sidekick Robin Quivers talked about the trial in which the 58-year-old actor is suing his ex-wife after she allegedly defamed him in an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in 2018. Both agreed that the trial wouldn’t save the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star’s career.

“The reason he wanted that — he wanted it televised [because] that’s what narcissists do,” Stern explained, reported Mediaite.

“They think they can talk their way out of anything,” he added. “I think Johnny Depp is a huge narcissist and what I mean by that is — he figured, ‘I’ll put this on TV and because I’m so persuasive and because I’m so smart, I’m such a wonderful guy.'”

“I’ll play you some clips from the Johnny Depp trial,” Stern continued. “If he isn’t acting — I mean, he’s so overacting because he’s writing his own material as he goes along. You know, I gotta tell you, he’s wrong. He shouldn’t be putting this on TV in any shape.”

Quivers said the trial would not get Depp, once a Hollywood A-lister, back to superstardom.

“He’s [Depp’s] trying to save his career,” the shock jock’s co-host said. “I don’t think this is going to help.”

“That’s what narcissists do … [they say], ‘I will charm the pants off of America at the trial,'” Stern said. “No you won’t! This will not go well. It’s not going well for you, it’s not going well for her. It’s not going well for anybody. You sound like two battling children.”

“It’s just coming off really badly,” he added. “Johnny Depp testified in court for two days last week. Two days. Think about that, lots of room to embarrass yourself. Two full, f***ing days! First of all, his difficulty in speaking the English language is fantastic … And the accent. First of all, isn’t he from like the South or the Midwest? … Johnny Depp was born in Kentucky. Does that sound like a guy from Kentucky?”

Depp has been on the stand for several days and his cross-examination ended Monday. Heard is set to testify in the coming days, reported Variety.

The superstar actor is suing the “Aquaman” actress for more than $50 million for defamation he claims hurt his career in Hollywood. Heard claims Depp’s legal team made false claims about her and is countersuing her ex for $100 million in damages.

Depp and Heard tied the knot in 2015. In 2017, their divorce was finalized, reported Page Six.
