Twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said late last week that the media needed to promote a “consistent narrative” that former President Donald Trump was a “danger” despite surviving multiple assassination attempts.
Clinton made the remarks during a special edition of PBS News’ “Firing Line with Margaret Hoover” at the Clinton Global Initiative.
“I think it is existential,” Clinton said about the threat that she believes Trump poses to American democracy. “And I say that based on what he says, and what Project 2025 proposes as the agenda for a second Trump term.”
Host Margaret Hoover never pushed back on Clinton tying Trump to Project 2025, even though he repeatedly condemned the project and had nothing to do with it.
Clinton claimed that Trump ordered all sorts of investigations into her and that she was “the most investigated innocent person you have ever met in your entire life.”
“The press needs a consistent narrative about the danger that Trump poses,” she said. “Because, you know, people may still look at the danger or say, ‘I don’t care. It doesn’t, you know, it doesn’t affect me. I’m going to vote for him for X, Y or Z.'”

Clinton claimed that “something will happen in October” to Vice President Kamala Harris that she insinuated will come from the Russians.
“There will be concerted efforts to distort and pervert Kamala Harris, who she is, what she stands for, what she’s done,” she claimed. “So I don’t know what it’s going to be, but it will be something and we’ll have to work very, very hard to make sure that it is exposed as the lie that it is.”
