Geraldo Rivera raved about President Donald Trump during a recent appearance on NewsNation, saying that his ability to broker the still-unfolding ceasefire agreement between Israel and the terror group Hamas had earned him credibility on the global stage.
Rivera, who has often been at odds with Trump despite years of friendship, said that the peace deal put Trump on par with any celebrity — even the late Elvis Presley.

“He is Elvis now. He is the biggest movie star on Earth — the most charismatic,” Rivera declared. “As he walks around, he walks around with the power of the American empire infusing him with confidence and power. And he is a leader! He seizes the moment and is really putting his long experience to work, to solving these problems.”
“And he’s got some real problems to solve,” Rivera acknowledged. “But bringing this group together, though, that’s the sheer force of personality. There’s no one that could have done that. I don’t think Ronald Reagan could have done that — maybe Roosevelt is the last president who could have summoned the world, or the part of the world that you’re most concerned with here, essentially to choreograph this historic breakthrough.”

Rivera expressed similar views when the deal was first announced, saying, “Could not have happened, but for Trump. Hamas was invited to surrender, not to negotiate. A ‘told you so’ moment for the peace through strength crowd.”

He also joined those calling for Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, adding, “In any other year, Maria Corina Machado would be a deserving recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. She has courageously fought the totalitarian government of Venezuela dictator, Maduro. But there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that the winner of the coveted prize in 2025 should have been President Donald J Trump. He has been unarguably the world’s most consequential peacemaker and has achieved some extraordinary, life-saving results.”
