Anti-American streamer Hasan Piker — who has repeatedly blasted voter ID laws as racist and discriminatory — appeared at a political event Monday where attendees were required to show identification.
In fact, this was the second time in recent months that the Mao-loving socialist appeared at a campaign event where attendees were required to show ID.
Piker appeared alongside embattled Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN) at an event called “I’m the Host Now!” on Monday. According to Minnesota-based reporter Dustin Grage, attendees were required to show ID. A video posted by Grage shows a woman working the event telling those in line that they would need to present their tickets and identification to enter.

Moreover, the video shows about a dozen people in line, and Grage put “sold out” in quotation marks in his caption, suggesting the turnout was less robust than claimed.

Back in August, Piker joined Omar and failed Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong at a campaign rally in Wisconsin, where attendees were also required to register and show photo ID.
But while Piker has no problem speaking at political events that require attendees to show identification, he’s ardently opposed to laws that would require identification to vote in elections. In fact, Piker thinks such legislation is racist and discriminates against black and brown Americans — a concern that apparently doesn’t extend to the political events where he speaks.
In a video published in 2021, Piker argued that “voter ID laws are discriminatory against black and brown people,” particularly those who cannot afford a driver’s license.
“The real reason for why they did that is racist,” he declared.
In another video published the following year, Piker argued that voter ID requirements were deliberately designed to make voting difficult, insisting that many Americans lack identification and that obtaining it can be burdensome for poor, working-class Americans.
At the event on Monday, Piker called Republicans “the most un-American force in this country,” accusing them of being “terrorists,” The Daily Wire reported. Additionally, the streamer, who famously said “America deserved 9/11,” argued at the event that migrants are not a national security threat.
“They are our neighbors. They are our allies. They work alongside us,” he said. “They are not a burden but a benefit. They are what make this country strong, and they’re what make this country great.”
