Actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie have come forward alleging that movie mogul Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed them both at the start of their carreers, further dampening claims made by Meryl Streep and other celebrities that “not everybody knew” of the man’s treatment toward women.
Speaking with The New York Times, both actresses recalled moments in the late 90s when Weinstein made sexual advances toward them in the exact same manner profiled by his other accusers. The pattern was simple: Weinstein allegedly invited actresses into his hotel room, asked his staff to leave, and then put the creepy moves on them. From the Times piece:
