Gov. Sanders Eliminates ‘Woke, Anti-Women’ Language From Arkansas Government Documents: Report

   DailyWire.com
ARKANSAS REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR VICTORY PRE-WRITE Republican Sarah Huckabee Sanders has followed in her father’s footsteps by becoming governor of Arkansas. Sanders, 40, who was former President Trump’s press secretary, defeated Democrat nominee Chris Jones to earn the role in which her father, Mike Huckabee, served from 1996-2007. In addition to Trump’s endorsement, Sanders had the backing of outgoing Governor Asa Hutchinson and held a commanding lead throughout the race. The centerpiece of Sanders’ platform was her “plan for a safer, stronger Arkansas,” which outlined her strategy to lower violent crime. In her proposal, she promised to “never defund the police,” increase prison capacity, and vowed to “push back on the dangerous rhetoric of the radical left.” Jones opposed Sanders’ anti-crime platform and pushed his own “PB&J” plan, which stood for pre-school, broadband, and jobs. Sanders also campaigned on a plan to further prioritize education in Arkansas. The proposal, called LEARNS (Literacy, Empowerment, Accountability, Readiness, Networking, and School Safety), aims to increase learning opportunities for kids in the state and “not indoctrinate them with the left’s agenda.” Sanders had all the advantages in a red-state contest, from name recognition and a family tree to policies that resonated with voters. She served as the 31st White House press secretary under Trump from 2017 to 2019 and worked on the election campaigns of her father, who also ran for president. Hutchinson was barred from running again because of term limits.

Arkansas Republican Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders eliminated “woke, anti-women” language from government documents in an executive order signed on Thursday that takes a strong stance defending women against terms promoting radical gender theory.

“The science is clear and real; [t]here are things only women can do, like perform the miracle of birth,” Sanders wrote in the executive order reported first by Fox News Digital. “Government should reject language that ignores, undermines, and erases women; Government should celebrate gender distinctions between men and women – not erase them.”

Sanders, 41, who became the first female elected as the governor of Arkansas this year, enacted the order as radical left-wing ideology pushing “culturally conscious” or “inclusive” language continues to subvert state governments and American institutions nationwide.

In Arkansas alone, the state’s health department reportedly published a memo describing small per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) negatively affecting “pregnant people.” But under Sanders’ new order, state officials must use terms specific to women, such as “pregnant women” or “pregnant mom.”

Such terms are included in “banning a number of all sorts of ridiculous words from state government documents,” Sanders said.

“We are all here to say enough,” she added. “Enough trying to erase women and girls. Enough denying our biological differences from men. Enough of the craziness taking over our country.”

“They’re using nonsense words to erase women and girls – and more importantly, to erase our voices and experiences,” Sanders said. “Today, we’re taking a stand against woke nonsense … It’s the Left that decided that woman is a dirty word. It’s the Left that decided that we needed to toss out basic biology – and basic grammar along with it.”

Arkansas Surgeon General Dr. Kay Chandler reportedly called the order “just common sense.”

“Our governor won’t let political correctness get in the way of science,” Chandler said.

The latest action marks another milestone Sanders has taken to eliminate woke indoctrination in American culture during her governorship.

Earlier this year, Sanders signed an executive order banning “Latinx” in government documents, calling the language “culturally insensitive” to the Latino community.

“Ethnically insensitive and pejorative language has no place in official government documents or government employee titles,” Sanders’ executive order stated. “The government has a responsibility to respect its citizens and use ethnically appropriate language, particularly when referring to ethnic minorities.”

Sanders also signed an executive order banning schools from teaching Critical Race Theory, which the order described as “antithetical to the traditional American values of neutrality, equality, and fairness.”
