House GOP leaders are targeting the Biden administration by opening an investigation into the murder of a young autistic woman by an illegal immigrant from the deadly MS-13 gang.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA), chairman of an immigration subcommittee, fired off letters to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra demanding answers about a 17-year-old illegal immigrant who allegedly raped and strangled 20-year-old Kayla Hamilton in her bed in Aberdeen, Maryland, on July 27, 2022. The suspect, who reportedly identified as an unaccompanied minor, was freed after he was apprehended in Texas in March 2022.

“Criminal aliens and gang members exploit the U.S. immigration system to harm Americans,” Jordan and McClintock wrote. “The Biden Administration’s border and immigration policies only increase the likelihood that those criminal aliens will successfully enter and remain in the U.S.”

“The Biden Administration’s open-border policies have created vulnerabilities that criminal aliens and gang members exploit to the detriment of American citizens,” Jordan wrote to Becerra. “Pursuant to the Rules of the House of Representatives, the Committee on the Judiciary is authorized to conduct oversight of federal immigration policy and procedures.”

Hamilton had come back from working an overnight shift at a grocery store the night she was murdered. Her boyfriend had left the mobile home where they lived when she got home to go to work. She called her boyfriend, but the call went to voicemail which recorded her as she was attacked. “It was him strangling her,” Hamilton’s mother Tammy  Nobles said. “Two minutes and 30 seconds.”

“It’s really hard to process,” Nobles told Fox News host Brian Kilmeade. “Not only do we have to process losing her, but we also have to process what happened to her.”

“I don’t know where he came from,” Nobles said of the alleged murderer. “I don’t know how he got here or how he ended up being in the same area as her. … I just feel like as a mom you want to keep your kid safe. I wouldn’t want any parent to experience and go through what I’m going through.”

“She always saw the good in everybody,” Nobles recalled of her daughter. “She was very trusting. Too trusting; she could not see danger at all.”

“I am hoping he gets the most that he can get and deserve,” she said of the alleged murderer. “I feel that if he’s done this at such a young age, there’s no telling what he’s capable of as an adult.”
