Early Thursday morning, a gay couple in Key West was targeted and attacked by a Trump supporter on a scooter, taunting the men for voting for “that b**** Hillary” and calling them “f*****s,” says a police report.
The men, 49-year-old Kevin Paul Taylor and 38-year-old Kevin Seymour, told police they were victims of a hate crime when they were riding their bikes home on Duval Street, the Sacramento Bee reports. A seemingly intoxicated man began hurling “anti-gay” slurs at them and reportedly knocked Seymour off his bike after ramming into his rear tire.
“You live in Trump Country now!” the perp allegedly told the gay couple.
“If you do that, I’ll cut you up,” the drunken man said when Seymour threatened to call the police, say reports.

Posting to Facebook, Taylor said he believes the police “will be able to track” the alleged perpetrator, as the incident happened outside a business with “lots of cameras” and one witness was able to corroborate their account to police. Seymour posted what he claims to be the man’s moped license to Facebook, too.
“Feeling disheartened because we were victims of a hate crime last night biking home from dinner and a drunk tourist on a scooter harassed Kevin Seymour and me all the way down Duval, calling us faggots and a slew of other anti gay remarks such as ‘I bet you faggots voted for that bitch Hillary–well you live in Trump Country now,'” posted Taylor to Facebook. “He kept stopping in front of us and swerving into us. Finally Kevin got ahead of him and the guy charges him with his scooter and runs into him and knocks him off his bike. Kevin is okay. Luckily it happened right in front of a business with lots of cameras and also there was a witness on the porch that gave a sworn statement to the police.”
Taylor reiterated that Seymour was physically okay, and that their “emotional wounds will heal.”
“I think the cops will be able to track him down,” he added.
As noted by The Sacramento Bee, “Police described the scooter rider as a white man in his mid- to late 30s with ‘a southern accent’ wearing gray shorts and a blue polo shirt. His moped was a black Eclipse.”
