Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) appears to be doubling down on the incendiary rhetoric — and targeting President Donald Trump&#8217;s Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller — even as political violence ramps up, particularly against those on the Right.
Just over two weeks after a shooter — who inscribed the phrase &#8220;Hey fascist, catch!&#8221; on a bullet casing —assassinated conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, someone used Newsom&#8217;s official @GovPressOffice account to post, &#8220;STEPHEN MILLER IS A FASCIST!&#8221;

A number noted that Newsom — and many other Democrats — appeared to have little or no interest in taking any concrete steps toward dialing down the inflammatory rhetoric.
