New York City Appoints ‘Rat Czar’

New York City has officially appointed its first-ever “rat czar” — its new director of rodent mitigation, Kathleen Corradi. The job description specified that the czar would need to have “the drive, determination and killer instinct needed to fight the real enemy: New York City’s relentless rat population.” Corradi reportedly has been passionate about rodent extermination since childhood, citing a formative experience seeing a rat carcass by the train tracks at age 10. She previously led the Education Department’s rodent reduction efforts.

Tennessee Rep. Accused Of Stopping Cars And Assaulting Drivers During 2020 Protests

Footage appearing to show a recently expelled Democratic Tennessee lawmaker stopping cars and assaulting drivers during 2020 protests has been brought to light.

Nashville metro representative Justin Jones said in 2020 that “the narrative” of him being violent was false. But the newly released footage apparently shows Jones throwing a caution cone into the open window of a car driving by a protest. On Monday afternoon, Jones, who was expelled for leading an anti-gun protest during the storming of the state Capitol last month, was reinstated to the House.

Dan Snyder Reportedly Selling Team

Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder is reportedly selling the team after nearly 30 years. Wall Street titan Josh Harris is reportedly leading the way with a $6 billion bid. Now, that figure would set a record for the highest price paid in North America for a sports team. Former NBA legend Magic Johnson is also involved in the purchase; Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has withdrawn from the bidding process, but Canadian billionaire Steve Apostolos is still engaged in a head-to-head race with the Harris Group. Harris also owns the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils Hockey team.
