President Joe Biden is being blasted online for his unwillingness to acknowledge his own grandchild, the four-year-old girl his troubled son Hunter Biden fathered with a former stripper who now lives in Arkansas.
The social media condemnation followed White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s refusal to answer a question about the little girl, Navy Joan Roberts. On Saturday, The New York Times ran a story about the girl, noting that the child knows who her father and grandfather are and that a recent child support settlement between her parents bars her from using the Biden name.
How can anyone still support this man? He claims to be a “family” man, yet he has nothing to do with his own granddaughter! That’s pathetic pic.twitter.com/NqGFRkePJu

“There was a story in The New York Times over the weekend about Hunter Biden’s daughter in Arkansas. Does the president acknowledge this little girl as his granddaughter?” Wall Street Journal’s Catherine Lucey asked Jean-Pierre on Wednesday.
“I don’t have anything to share from here,” Jean-Pierre replied.

It was not the first time Jean-Pierre ducked the question. In May, a reporter asked Jean-Pierre why the president and First Lady had not acknowledged their seventh grandchild.
“I’m not going to speak to that from here,” Jean-Pierre answered.
In April, Joe Biden told a group of kids, “I have six grandchildren. And I’m crazy about them. And I speak to them every single day.”
The refusal to acknowledge the existence of his own flesh and blood has raised questions for many about Biden’s carefully cultivated image as a family man.
“Biden claims to be a devoted ‘family man,’ but his persistent refusal to acknowledge his granddaughter’s existence raises troubling questions about his capacity for human kindness and paternal love,” Joe Gabriel Simonson of the Washington Free Beacon wrote.
Jean-Pierre’s reaction on Wednesday catalyzed more mockery from conservatives online.
“The Bidens hung a Christmas stocking with the dog’s name on it, and the President won’t acknowledge his own granddaughter,” RealClearInvestigations’ Mark Hemingway wrote.

“You can just feel the empathy and decency oozing,” The Spectator’s Stephen Miller said pointedly, referring to the Left’s constant attempts to portray Biden as empathetic and their consistent description of him as a decent man.
