<p>FBI agents searched President Joe Biden&#8217;s home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on Wednesday, expanding their hunt for classified documents.</p>
<p>No documents with classified markings were found after investigators spent about three and a half hours searching the premises, Biden&#8217;s personal attorney Bob Bauer said in a statement. He did acknowledge the Justice Department took some materials and handwritten notes that appear to relate to Biden&#8217;s time as vice president.</p>
<p>Bauer also stressed the Justice Department search was &#8220;planned&#8221; and conducted in &#8220;coordination and cooperation&#8221; with Biden&#8217;s attorneys.</p>

<p>The search on Wednesday comes after classified materials were found at Biden&#8217;s think tank office in Washington, D.C., and later his Wilmington, Delaware, residence. Biden&#8217;s personal attorneys and the White House have insisted throughout they are cooperating with the National Archives and Justice Department.</p>
<p>&#8220;I think you&#8217;re going to find there&#8217;s nothing there. I have no regrets,&#8221; <a href="https://www.npr.org/2023/01/19/1150144933/biden-no-regrets-classified-documents-investigation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Biden told reporters</a> last month.</p>

<p>The discovery of classified materials began as early as November, days before the 2022 midterm elections, when the president&#8217;s attorneys say they found sensitive documents at the Penn Biden Center in D.C. However, the discovery did not become known until January when <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/biden-center-classified-documents/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CBS News broke the story</a> of an inquiry by U.S. Attorney John Lausch. Attorney General <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/merrick-garland-appoints-special-counsel-to-investigate-biden-classified-document-scandal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Merrick Garland later appointed</a> former U.S. Attorney Robert Hur as special counsel to examine whether &#8220;any person or entity violated the law in connection with this matter.&#8221;</p>
<p>Classified documents have been found at Biden&#8217;s Wilmington home on at least three separate occasions and in different parts of the residence, including in the garage. On January 20, the FBI executed a nearly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fbi-conducted-13-hour-search-of-bidens-home-found-more-classified-material" target="_blank" rel="noopener">13-hour search</a> of Biden&#8217;s Wilmington home, which Biden&#8217;s lawyers and the Justice Department described as consensual. During this search, Bauer said the Justice Department took multiple documents with classification markings, including those dating back to Biden&#8217;s time as U.S. senator and vice president. The president <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-spends-weekend-rehoboth-beach-house-classified-docs-found-delaware-home" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spent that same weekend</a> staying at his Rehoboth home.</p>
<p>Despite multiple timelines being provided by the Justice Department and Biden&#8217;s teams, the known series of events keeps shifting. On Tuesday, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fbi-searched-bidens-private-office-at-penn-biden-center-months-ago" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CBS News revealed</a> federal investigators searched Biden&#8217;s private office at the Penn Biden Center months ago after Biden’s legal team reported finding classified material there.</p>
<p>Another special counsel is investigating former President Donald Trump&#8217;s handling of classified documents. Last week, the public learned classified documents were <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mike-pence-takes-full-responsibility-for-classified-docs-at-his-home" target="_blank" rel="noopener">also discovered</a> at the home of former Vice President Mike Pence.</p>
<p>Amid the fallout from the documents scandal, the National Archives asked former presidents and vice presidents to check for classified and other presidential documents in their possession, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/26/politics/archives-letter-former-presidents-vice-presidents-classified-documents" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to CNN</a>.</p>
<p>Democrats and Republicans in Congress have demanded more information from the Biden administration, but the Justice Department has so far resisted, citing the ongoing nature of the special counsel inquiries.</p>
<p>Assistant Attorney General Carlos Felipe Uriarte <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/justice-department-responds-to-jim-jordans-demands-in-biden-docs-probe" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told the Senate Intelligence Committee</a> over the weekend that the Justice Department is &#8220;working with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to support the provision of information that will satisfy the Committee&#8217;s responsibilities without harming the ongoing Special Counsel investigations.&#8221;</p>
