A New York father of a nine-year-old who moved his family to Florida after he had blasted a private New York school for allegedly teaching his daughter Critical Race Theory told Fox News regarding Florida schools, “These schools never heard of Critical Race Theory, they don’t teach the Critical Race Theory. They don’t know about it.”

Harvey Goldman added to Fox News host Tucker Carlson, “These children go to a park and they want to play. They don’t care what color the other kids are. They care that they’re having fun.”

Goldman, the son of Holocaust survivors, had criticized the $43,000-per-year Heschel School in Manhattan.

The school responded to Goldman’s criticism by stating that Goldman was “fundamentally misrepresenting” their curriculum, adding, “His family informed us last summer that they would likely relocate to Florida for financial reasons. We were surprised to read about his new explanation for the move and question his motives for making such statements at this time.”

“Goldman acknowledged the family had planned the move to Florida, but said he wrote to them last September,” the Daily Mail reported. The letter stated, “First and foremost, neither I, nor my child, have ‘white privilege,’ nor do we need to apologize for it. Suggesting I do is insulting. Suggesting to my nine-year-old child she does is child abuse, not education.”

Goldman told the New York Post, “My mother said everyone should speak out about this — but when I said I was going to, she said, ‘I didn’t mean you.’ But I understand her concerns and I have them, too. These private schools are very powerful and they speak to one another. They want you to toe the line and do as you’re told or else.”

In late April, Goldman told Fox News, “Little children don’t need to feel bad about the color of their skin. That’s what they’re teaching them, to feel bad about who they are.”

On Tuesday, Carlson began his interview by saying, “Last year you had a nine-year-old fourth grader in private school and they began to tell her that she was a bad person — a nine-year-old— because of the color of her skin, which she of course she can’t control. You approached the head of the school in the supermarket and he basically just blew you off; you wrote a letter, he blew you off again, so you wrote this long letter in which you said ‘we don’t have white privilege, stop telling us that.’ What happened then?”

“After that we had a zoom call with the school basically saying the same thing; they said if you don’t like our teachings you can leave, and I left,” Goldman replied. “Within, I don’t know, 28 to 48 hours of that zoom call, they actually offered me a full refund and said you can leave.”

“They’re teaching these kids terrible things,” he continued. “Teaching them to feel bad about themselves and it’s really awful.”

“So they’re teaching racism, I mean, I think, by any conventional definition that’s what you’re doing, you called them on it, in a really straightforward, well-written letter and they didn’t budge at all,” Carlson stated. “So what does that tell other parents whose kids are being subjected to this poison right now? What can they do?”

“Well, I’ve gotten quite a few calls from parents of the school and they are pulling their kids out,” Goldman answered. “They are not happy about what is being taught to their children, and I’m not sure what else they can do but teach the schools a lesson by pulling their kids out and getting their money out.”

“So you pulled your — and bless you for doing that — your nine-year-old out, because, I guess, by your actions we can infer that you thought that it was that dangerous to her that you didn’t want her around it. Why do you think more parents don’t do that — I think it’s the right thing — but why don’t more people do that?” Carlson asked.

“I think a lot of them are unaware of how bad this really is and what they’re teaching the kids in these schools,” Goldman responded. “And also, if you’re in New York, it’s really difficult to find another place to go because so many schools are teaching this Critical Race Theory. And they are together with this. You have to leave there. Some place like Florida. ‘Never heard of it.’”

“Oh, so you just left the state and you moved to Florida,” Carlson commented.

“Yes,” Goldman said succinctly.

“Is it better?” Carlson asked.

“Much better,” Goldman said. “These schools never heard of Critical Race Theory, they don’t teach the Critical Race Theory. They don’t know about it. These children go to a park and they want to play. They don’t care what color the other kids are. They care that they’re having fun. … My parents came here, they’re Holocaust survivors; they came here with nothing; they worked their whole lives so we could have what we have in this country; it’s America. And they should be taught that everybody’s treated equally. And that’s not what they’re teaching our children now.”
