On Thursday, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani took to X to express his &#8220;outrage&#8221; over a swastika flag raised near Washington Square Park.
He wrote on X:

Mamdani&#8217;s hypocrisy is breathtaking. Just weeks ago, Mamdani issued his first mayoral veto to kill Intro 175-B, the &#8220;educational buffer zone&#8221; bill. That legislation was a common-sense measure designed to ensure that students could enter schools and universities without being harassed by the same brand of radical activists Mamdani spent his career organizing. While Jewish students are being mobbed and intimidated on campuses across the city, Mamdani decided that protecting the &#8220;First Amendment rights&#8221; of the mob was more important than the physical safety of the students.

The double standard doesn’t stop at the schoolhouse door. When a New York City synagogue was recently besieged by a screaming pack of anti-Israel activists during an informational event, Mamdani didn’t rush to defend the &#8220;sacred space.&#8221; Instead, his office issued a <a href="https://www.jpost.com/diaspora/antisemitism/article-895231">chilling statement</a> suggesting the synagogue brought the harassment on itself, claiming &#8220;sacred spaces should not be used to promote activities in violation of international law.&#8221;
