WASHINGTON—The FBI has received dozens of tips over the past three days regarding surgical transgender procedures on children, The Daily Wire has learned. 
The bureau took to social media Monday to ask Americans to report any evidence of medical professionals performing irreversible transgender procedures on minors. As of Thursday morning, the Daily Wire can first report, the FBI said it had received at least 100 tips.
The move comes as President Donald Trump&#8217;s administration scrutinizes the transgender medicine industry, which has long pushed &#8220;gender-affirming care&#8221; as &#8220;medically necessary&#8221; for those experiencing gender dysphoria — even children.
Erica Knight, an advisor to FBI Director Kash Patel and mother of three, told The Daily Wire that the bureau will &#8220;never stop fighting for our most vulnerable — our children.&#8221;
&#8220;As a mother, I’m deeply grateful and proud to know the future of America’s kids is one rooted in safety, strength, and opportunity,&#8221; she said.
Gender affirming care is a euphemism for transgender surgeries, hormones, and puberty blockers. Under President Joe Biden, the White House <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/white-house-early-trans-surgeries-hormones-are-crucial-for-kids-teens-who-identify-as-trans">claimed</a> that &#8220;early” transgender surgeries, hormone treatment, and affirmations were “crucial” for the health of kids and teens who identify as transgender and nonbinary.
&#8220;Help the FBI protect children,&#8221; the bureau posted on X Monday. &#8220;As the Attorney General has made clear, we will protect our children and hold accountable those who mutilate them under the guise of gender-affirming care.&#8221; 
The post encouraged Americans to &#8220;report tips of any hospitals, clinics, or practitioners performing these surgical procedures on children.&#8221;

Trump made protecting children from transgender procedures a major part of his campaign. The issue brought together Americans across the cultural spectrum, united in the interest of protecting young people from decisions they could not reverse.
Commentators, lawmakers, people <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2022/01/24/transsexual-slams-planned-parenthood-aclu-womens-sports/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">who identify as transgender</a>, and people who have <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/detransitioners-flood-social-media-with-testimony-photos-the-darkest-time-in-my-life" target="_blank" rel="noopener">attempted transitions</a> have expressed grave concerns about encouraging children or young people to explore transitions of any kind.
Chloe Cole attempted to transition as a teenager and underwent a double mastectomy in an attempt to become a boy. Cole has since <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/detransitioner-chloe-cole-transgender-supreme-court-case-means-everything-to-me">sued</a> the medical professionals who pushed her down this path, arguing that she could not properly consent to the procedures due to her age, her mental distress, and the ideological premises that the medical professionals presented her with.

The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-federal-trade-commission-is-setting-its-sights-on-transgender-procedures-on-kids?author=Mary+Margaret+Olohan&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=8&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=EXCLUSIVE%3A+Federal+Trade+Commission+Sets+Sights+On+Transgender+Procedures+On+Kids">reported last month</a> that the Federal Trade Commission is setting its sights on the industry pushing transgender medical procedures on minors, a potential major step in the Trump administration’s efforts to crack down on radical gender ideology.
The FTC will hold a day-long workshop in July on transgender surgeries, hormones, and puberty blockers, according to an internal memo obtained by The Daily Wire. The purpose of the workshop is to build on President Trump’s executive order ending the federal government’s support for so-called “gender-affirming care” for minors.
While transgender advocates claim that performing transgender surgeries, hormones, and puberty blocker procedures on children will cause them to be less suicidal, the FTC memo notes that “a growing chorus of experts now publicly contradict these claims.&#8221; It also points out that the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals recently called transgender procedures “in truth still experimental.”
The president signed an <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/protecting-children-from-chemical-and-surgical-mutilation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">executive order</a> in January protecting children from irreversible gender transition procedures. The order describes the transgender procedures that doctors and activists have pushed upon children in recent years, and states that the United States will not fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support the attempted gender transition of a child, promising that it will “rigorously enforce all laws that prohibit or limit these destructive and life-altering procedures.”
“Across the country today, medical professionals are maiming and sterilizing a growing number of impressionable children under the radical and false claim that adults can change a child’s sex through a series of irreversible medical interventions,” the order states. “This dangerous trend will be a stain on our Nation’s history, and it must end.”
