<p style="font-weight: 400;">The attempted assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was killed by law enforcement at the rally; fire captain Corey Comperatore was fatally shot when he dived on members of his family to protect them.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The discussion on CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip featured Touré, Scott Jennings, Adrienne Elrod, Ben Ferguson, and Elie Honig. It centered on the White House report that President Trump had swelling in his legs, a benign condition.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“Throughout the time that we have seen him on the public stages, this is not the most intelligent person we have,” Touré insisted. “This is not the best analysis of information. He does not have a lot of information at his fingertips as far as things that he knows. So, if there is a cognitive problem&#8230;&#8221;</p>
<p>“They have not always been forthcoming about his health,” Elrod declared.</p>
<p>“He supposedly got shot in the ear,” Touré stated.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“Woah, woah, woah. Did you say &#8216;supposedly&#8217;?” Jennings said, shocked.</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;">A new study reveals how media in the United States and Europe simply parroted inaccurate information from the terrorist group Hamas and represented it as truthful.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The Network Contagion and Research Institute released their comprehensive report, titled, “<a href="https://networkcontagion.us/reports/7-15-25-the-4th-estate-sale-how-american-and-european-media-became-an-uncritical-mouthpiece-for-a-designated-foreign-terror-organization/">The 4th Estate Sale: How American and European Media Became an Uncritical Mouthpiece for a Designated Foreign Terror Organization</a>.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The report started by illuminating how the media virtually unanimously purveyed a uniform narrative in which they lied about the efforts of the U.S. Department of State’s aid initiative, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which was delivering meals and direct food assistance to Palestinian civilians in Gaza.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“Within days of GHF’s first meal deliveries, it became the target of a deliberate narrative assault, driven less by verifiable facts than by the demands of a competing narrative,” the report states. “Reports and evidence of violence at aid sites began to surface, and international and U.S. media outlets, social media influencers, and NGOs started publishing articles that ascribed blame to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) or GHF for intentional violence against civilians, war crimes, and complicity in the crime of genocide. The reports quickly condensed into viral headlines, but the claim that the IDF was systematically murdering civilians was usually sourced from Hamas-run ministries or anonymous accounts, and often unverified. Moreover, evidence that Hamas could be responsible for violence around aid sites – evidence provided by non-Hamas Palestinian sources, by Hamas’s online communications, and by video that in some cases shows Hamas operatives deliberately firing on Palestinian civilians– was almost never suggested.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“A core failure of media coverage is the routine elevation of the Gaza Health Ministry, a Hamas-run agency, as a trusted source on culpability for violence. &#8230; many mainstream media outlets remain willing to rely on figures and ‘facts’ taken from the Gaza Health Ministry,&#8221; the report continues. “The media framed a narrative sourced unreflexively from Hamas affiliates – a narrative which aims to uproot any challenge that undermines the terrorist-designated entity’s governance over aid distribution in the Gaza Strip. This effort transformed reporting into narrative laundering: the process of circulating unverified or unreliable information and framing it as a legitimate window into truth.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“Our results suggest that the GHF was targeted and undermined by a collection of adversarial actors and institutional amplifiers acting synchronously and convergently,” the report continues. “Major media headlines cited Hamas-linked officials more than any other source – making a foreign terrorist organization one of the leading voices shaping news about GHF. Of the high-engagement news articles NCRI analyzed, Hamas-linked officials and organizations, such as the Gaza Health Ministry, were directly cited in headlines more than any other named source. In nearly three-quarters of those cases, it was not disclosed in the headline that the source was a Hamas affiliate.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">One example from the report: “The Washington Post retracted early versions of a report that explicitly stated Israeli troops killed over 30 Palestinians near a U.S. aid site in Gaza. The original headline attributed to ‘health officials’ the claims about Israeli troops being responsible for the deaths, but the journalists failed to clarify that this attribution solely reflected a claim from the Gaza Health Ministry. This consequently gave readers a false impression that Israeli responsibility had been independently confirmed.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Another: “CNN corrected its report of a shooting near a Gaza aid site in which at least 31 Palestinians were allegedly killed. The original article uncritically reported the Gaza Health Ministry’s claim that the Israeli military was responsible without making clear that this accusation had not been independently verified.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“A particularly salient example of this occurred when Gazan pharmacist Omar Hamad introduced the conspiratorial narrative that the GHF intentionally laced bags of flour with the narcotic Oxycodone. This claim went viral on X, racking up over 25.7M views across just 21 posts,” the report noted.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“While originating from traditional sources (NGOs, UN bodies, humanitarian advocates), these narratives are rapidly absorbed by future assassins like Elias Rodriguez or online networks that reframe them through radically different lenses on both the right and left,” the report opines.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“The belief that Israel is intentionally starving children or deliberately targeting hospitals under the pretense of counterterrorism is not grounded in verifiable fact. These are not legitimate policy critiques; they are fabricated atrocity narratives that reframe Israel&#8217;s actions as genocidal, regardless of evidence to the contrary. What’s most alarming is the shift from political disagreement to dehumanizing conviction. The experimental results show that exposure to these narratives moves individuals to endorse conspiracy-level accusations and adopt a moral framework in which Israel is no longer a flawed actor, but a fundamentally evil one,” the report concludes.</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;">A Melkite-Catholic priest in Sweida, Syria, issued a desperate plea for help from the outside world as Syrian Islamists have been murdering Druze and Christians in Syria.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Father Tony Boutros, a representative of the Melkite-Catholic Church, an Eastern Catholic church in full communion with the Holy See in Rome, was<a href="https://hcef.org/790796443-syria-kidnapped-melkite-priest-freed/"> kidnapped</a> in 2015 while driving to a church for Mass. He was then serving as the pastor of the Church of St. Philip the Apostle in Shahba.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Speaking from Sweida, where Islamic forces loyal to Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, the leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), are attacking and reportedly slaughtering members of that country’s Druze community, Boutros posted an urgent cry for help to prevent Islamists from wiping out the Druze and Christian communities.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“We are not ‘minorities,” he began. “We are components of this Syrian country, and we have been living together for hundreds of years. We are the people of this land. We and our Druze brothers here, and we live with them. We ask the U.S., Europe, the Vatican, and the whole world for international protection for this region of Sweida, all of it, for us and for our Druze brothers, my dear ones, and we condemn every criminal act.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“We are advocates of peace, my dear ones, we reject excommunication and we reject killing,” he continued. “All of this is condemned for us. And we want international protection from you. We want to stay in our homes. We want to stay with our Druze brothers, with our people, us and them. Not just neighbors; we are brothers and we coexist. Not just coexist; we are one, living together for hundreds of years, and we will not leave our homes and our land.  We demand international protection from the whole world. Look at us. Look at Sweida. Look at the massacres that happened to us in Sweida.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">He then tacitly thanked the government of Israel, among others, who have come to the rescue of the Druze and Christians, concluding, “And I thank all the people who want to help us and stand with us.”</p>

‘Look At The Massacres’: Syrian Priest Posts Desperate Plea As Islamist Attacks Intensify

<p style="font-weight: 400;">The House Judiciary Committee is accusing the Biden-Harris administration of providing grant funds to groups that contributed to anti-judicial reform groups seeking to undermine Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government in 2023.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“Documents obtained during this investigation suggest that the Biden-Harris administration potentially funded groups with ties to U.S.-designated terrorist organizations,” the Committee declared.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“Israeli NGO Blue White Future received funds from NGOs—including some U.S. grant recipients—and funded the coalition headquarters for the anti-Netanyahu judicial reform protest,” the Committee <a href="https://judiciary.house.gov/media/press-releases/memo-reveals-biden-harris-admin-misused-taxpayer-dollars-fund-anti-netanyahu">noted</a>. “The Biden-Harris Administration provided $42,000 to an Israeli NGO, Movement for Quality Government, to conduct ‘Civic Activism Training’ in Israeli high schools. U.S. nonprofit PEF Israel Endowment Funds provided over $884 million to groups involved in anti-democracy protests in Israel. U.S. nonprofit Jewish Communal Fund (JCF) provided over $42.8 million to the anti-Netanyahu protest headquarters in Israel and the protests’ two main funders.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">In the Committee’s <a href="https://judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/republicans-judiciary.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/israel-ngos-funding-memo-final-hjc-2.pdf">memo</a>, it targeted the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors — which received $20 million in grants from USAID between 2021 and 2024 — stating that the group gave $187,000 between 2021 and 2024 to PEF Israel Endowment Funds, which helped fund the NGO Blue and White Future (BWF), a “radical anti-Netanyahu organization.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“During this period, RPA donated $557,000 to its affiliate and partner, Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF),” the Committee stated. “In 2023, RBF donated more than $370,000 to groups directly involved in the anti-Netanyahu judicial reform protests &#8230; From 2017 to 2022, RBF donated $190,000 to Defense for International Children Palestine (DCI-P), designated by the Israeli Defense Ministry as a terrorist organization in 2021. DCI-P’s board and staff is made up of ‘numerous individuals with alleged ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a terrorist organization, designated as such by the US,  EU, Canada and Israel.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“Since 2016, the Bayader Association for Environment and Development, an NGO based in Gaza, has received at least $900,000 in U.S. government funding despite ‘openly collaborating with Hamas officials, including holding joint events with Hamas leaders,” the Committee wrote. “USAID also funded the Unlimited Friends Association (UFA), another Gaza-based NGO that provides financial support to the families of ‘martyrs’ killed while carrying out terrorist attacks in Israel.”</p>

House Judiciary: Biden Admin Bankrolled Groups Working To Topple Netanyahu

<p style="font-weight: 400;">On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mourned the deaths of three people killed when a missile launched by an Israel Defense Forces tank inadvertently struck a Catholic church in Gaza.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">On Thursday morning, a stray missile struck the Holy Family Church; nine people were also injured, one of whom is in critical condition.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;Israel deeply regrets that a stray ammunition hit Gaza&#8217;s Holy Family Church,&#8221; Netanyahu said, as Israel National News <a href="https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/411846">reported</a>. &#8220;Every innocent life lost is a tragedy. We share the grief of the families and the faithful. We are grateful to Pope Leo for his words of comfort. Israel is investigating the incident and remains committed to protecting Holy Family Church on Thursday morning. One of the injured is in critical condition. civilians and holy sites.&#8221;</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“Israel expresses deep sorrow over the damage to the Holy Family Church in Gaza City and over any civilian casualty,” Israeli Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Oren Marmorstein <a href="https://x.com/OrenMarmorstein/status/1945790701280649412?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet">stated</a> on X. “The IDF is examining this incident, the circumstances of which are still unclear, and the results of the investigation will be published transparently. Israel never targets churches or religious sites and regrets any harm to a religious site or to uninvolved civilians.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The IDF issued a statement saying, &#8220;The IDF is aware of reports regarding damage caused to the Holy Family Church in Gaza City and casualties at the scene. The circumstances of the incident are under review. The IDF makes every feasible effort to mitigate harm to civilians and civilian structures, including religious sites, and regrets any damage caused to them.&#8221;</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">A telegram sent by Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin on behalf of Pope Leo <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/world/pope-demands-ceasefire-after-gazas-catholic-church-hit-apparent-israeli-strike">read</a>, &#8220;His Holiness Pope Leo XIV was deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and injury caused by the military attack on the Holy Family Catholic Church in Gaza, and he assures the parish priest, Father Gabriele Romanelli, and the whole parish community of his spiritual closeness.” Pope Leo also apparently called for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The terrorist group still holds roughly 50 hostages from its October 7, 2023, massacre of over 1,200 Israelis. Although only 20 are believed to be alive, Hamas has not released them or the bodies of the dead hostages.</p>

‘Every Innocent Life Lost Is A Tragedy’: Netanyahu’s Statement After IDF Mistakenly Hits Catholic Church

<p style="font-weight: 400;">California Democrats have plans to redraw the state’s districts, potentially threatening the slim Republican majority in the House of Representatives.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">According to California Democrats, their move was prompted by news that Texas might try to redraw its districts to gain more Congressional seats. Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott has “directed the state Legislature to discuss redistricting in an upcoming special legislative session,” KCRA <a href="https://www.kcra.com/article/gavin-newsom-eyes-california-congressional-redistricting/65430152">noted</a>. California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom said of Texas, “They’re playing by a different set of rules.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">On Wednesday, the California Democratic congressional delegation met with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and reportedly discussed ideas for gaining even more seats to overturn the perilously slim majority Republicans hold in the House, <a href="https://punchbowl.news/article/house/cali-dreamin/">Punchbowl News</a> reports.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“The games they play aren’t working and the more people get educated on what’s going on, the more they’re going to fight back,” California Assemblymember Leticia Castillo of Riverside, who left the Democratic Party and became a Republican, said of California’s Democrats.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">In 2010, California voters approved Proposition 20, a constitutional amendment that transferred redistricting authority to an independent commission. Punchbowl News indicated that two plans are afoot to try to gain more seats, writing, “California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom sees two ways to overcome it.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">One route would be for Newsom to call a special session of the legislature that would offer voters the chance to “pause” the commission or rescind its redistricting power. California voters would have to approve this in a special election. The news site cautioned that such a route would entail heavy costs due to the funds required to disseminate the message over the airwaves. But one way to win over GOP voters might be to include a conservative favorite, such as implementing voter ID, in the proposition.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">A second route would be to redraw districts and claim California’s constitution does not explicitly forbid mid-decade redistricting, which would likely prompt a lawsuit. Newsom has called such a scenario “a novel legal question.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">One roadblock to redistricting is the Voting Rights Act, which may protect districts from being redrawn as they have majority Latino populations, and redrawing them would endanger such a majority.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Targeted GOP districts that have reportedly been discussed include those of GOP Reps. Ken Calvert, Kevin Kiley, Darrell Issa, Young Kim, David Valadao, and Doug LaMalfa. “We want our gavels back,” Rep. Mark Takano, who would be the new chair of the House Veterans Affairs Committee should Democrats regain the majority in the House, stated. “That’s what this is about.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">In 2011, to counter the even-handedness of the 2010 proposition, California Democrats devised a plan to influence the nonpartisan commission. Pro Publica <a href="https://www.propublica.org/article/how-democrats-fooled-californias-redistricting-commission">reported</a>:</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;"><em>Working with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee — a national arm of the party that provides money and support to Democratic candidates — members were told to begin “strategizing about potential future district lines,&#8221; according to another email. </em></p>
<p style="font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;"><em>The citizens’ commission had pledged to create districts based on testimony from the communities themselves, not from parties or statewide political players. To get around that, Democrats surreptitiously enlisted local voters, elected officials, labor unions and community groups to testify in support of configurations that coincided with the party’s interests. </em><em>When they appeared before the commission, those groups identified themselves as ordinary Californians and did not disclose their ties to the party.</em></p>
