EVIL IN PARADISE: Young Couple That Allegedly Slaughtered Hawaii Elementary School Teacher Tell Police ‘Shoot Me’

Two young people who allegedly brutally murdered an elementary school teacher, then tied up her eight-year-old daughter, told police after their arrest to “Shoot me.”

Stephen Brown, 23, and Kailey Dandurand, 20, allegedly murdered Telma Boinville, 51, who was found beaten to death in an Oahu vacation home she had been cleaning last Wednesday. Court documents stated that Boinville, who moved to Hawaii from Brazil in the 1990s, was found bound and lying in blood with a bloody hammer, knife and mallet nearby. She was allegedly beaten to death with a baseball bat.

When Brown and Dandurand were arrested on Thursday in Mililani, where Boinville’s truck was found the day after the murder, Boinville’s credit card was found in Dandurand’s pocket. On Friday, Dandurand and Brown laughed and smirked at news cameras when they were booked.

Boinville’s husband, Kevin Emery, said his daughter informed him she was waiting outside in the family’s truck when a green-haired man and a woman covered in blood came from inside the house, seized her, and tied her up inside the house. The young girl identified the couple on social media. Emery said, “They tied up my daughter and they beat my wife to death with a baseball bat. They won’t even let me in the house because it’s so bad.” He asked for help on social media finding the murderers and gave a description of the pickup truck they allegedly stole; he identified the man as having green hair. Hours later, the couple was spotted.

Emery said, in a statement obtained by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, that his wife made extra money helping her friend clean houses; he added, ““This put her in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

According to court documents obtained by KHON-TV, when the couple appeared in court on Monday, Brown told police, “Just shoot me, I deserve this,” while Dandurand echoed, “Can you just pull your gun out and shoot me in the head? My life is over after today.”
