On Monday, Senate Democrats declined to implement a ban on abortions past 20 weeks, or five months into a pregnancy, known as the “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.”
Only three Democrats — Indiana’s Joe Donnelly, Pennsylvania’s Bob Casey, and West Virginia’s Joe Manchin — voted for the ban, along with 48 Republican senators. Republican Senators Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine also disgracefully refused to protect life, voting “no” to the bill.
