Thanks almost exclusively to cord-cutting, thanks to everyday people tired of their obnoxiously overpriced cable and satellite packages, the left-wing social justice network ESPN will lay off 100 staffers today. According to Yahoo News, all 100 will be “on-air talent.” Tee hee.
This number is much bigger, more than double the amount ESPN originally reported it would have to lay off.
Today’s layoffs come on top of the 2013 and 2015 ESPN layoffs that resulted on both occasions in more than 300 losing their jobs.
For our culture, for our politics, for our future as a county, this is fantastic news.
One of the most powerful emitters of left-wing propaganda, ESPN is getting weaker and weaker by the day. And this is all happening because of YOU – because you are no longer funding your own destruction through your cable TV subscription.
Not so long ago in 2011, 100 million households subscribed to ESPN through their cable packages. Today that number has dropped to below 88 million, and it continues to drop; some estimates claim ESPN is losing 10,000 subscribers per day.
This is how it works…
Whether or not you watch ESPN, if it is included on your cable package, you are paying ESPN $7 per month, or $84 per year.
You see…
Most of these cable networks have so rigged the game, ratings hardly matter. All that matters is if their network is part of your cable package.
This is why your cable TV bill is so expensive. And these subscriber fees are so vitally important to the lifeblood of companies like ESPN (and its parent company Disney), when you cancel your cable they lose BILLIONS annually. Do the math. In just a few years ESPN has lost 12 million people who – whether they watched or not – funneled $8 a month into their left-wing coffers.
Sorry, but you cannot hurt ESPN by not watching.
The only way you can destroy ESPN is by canceling your cable package.
The same is true of left-wing propaganda outlets like CNN and MTV, two networks with ratings so hilariously low they could barely survive without their own subscriber fees. Even though no one watches CNN and MSNBC and MTV, they enjoy power and influence way beyond their reach only because of these fascist subscriber fees that keep the money tree fertilized.
YOU have the power to destroy these networks.
So please do … for America.
