[UPDATE] In the wake of unconfirmed reports claiming Eric Chase committed suicide, Eric Bolling sent out the following tweet Saturday afternoon:

Authorities have informed us there is no sign of self harm at this point. Autopsy will be next week. Please respect our grieving period.

Former Fox News host Eric Bolling’s son has died at age 19.

According to New York Daily News, Eric Chase Bolling, a student at the University of Colorado-Boulder, was found dead within hours of the announcement Friday that his father had parted ways with Fox News amid allegations of sexual harassment.

The elder Bolling tweeted the following on Saturday:

Adrienne and I are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Eric Chase last night. Details still unclear. Thoughts, prayers appreciated.

Fox News issued a statement as well (via Mediaite): “We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Eric Bolling’s son. Eric Chase was a wonderful young man and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bolling family.”

There are currently no details pertaining to the cause of death, though “a Boulder police spokesperson said they were investigating the case,” reports NYDN.
