One of Jeffrey Epstein’s accusers has called upon British royal Prince Andrew to admit his alleged crime of raping her as a teenager.
Speaking to reporters outside a New York City courtroom on Tuesday, Virginia Roberts Giuffre said that Prince Andrew “knows what he’s done.” According to HuffPost, she claimed in a 2015 lawsuit that Epstein recruited her to have sex with his powerful friends when she was just 15 years old. Her sexual encounters with Prince Andrew allegedly occurred when she was just 17.
“He knows what he’s done and he can attest to that,” Giuffre. “He knows exactly what he’s done and I hope he comes clean about it. I was recruited at a very young age from Mar-a-Lago, and entrapped in a world that I didn’t understand. And I have been fighting that very world to this day and I won’t stop fighting. I will never be silenced until these people are brought to justice.”
On Saturday, Prince Andrew denied Giuffre’s allegations, telling The Guardian that he never witnessed or suspected Epstein’s crimes during the limited time they spent together.
“At no stage during the limited time I spent with [Epstein] did I see, witness or suspect any behavior of the sort that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction,” Prince Andrew said. “I have said previously that it was a mistake and an error to see him after his release [from prison] in 2010. And I can only reiterate my regret that I was mistaken to think that what I thought I knew of him was evidently not the real person, given what we now know.”
An attorney representing Epstein’s accusers, David Boies, told reporters that Prince Andrew should be forced to protest his innocence in person rather than a written statement.
“It’s a different thing to come here and answer questions under oath and subject to cross-examinations,” he said. “Those are the kinds of answers that we are eventually going to get.”
In the same lawsuit from 2015, court records showed that Virginia Roberts Giuffre also claimed that “The Simpsons” creator Matt Groening once flew aboard Epstein’s private plane – “The Lolita Express” – where she gave him a rather uncomfortable foot massage.
The alleged incident happened around 20 years ago when Giuffre was just a 16-year-old girl. According to her account, this particular encounter with Groening stood out because she almost vomited due to his toenails being of a “yellow crusty” nature. He also allegedly gave her a drawing of Homer and Bart Simpson after she finished.
“I was enjoying our conversation, when Jeffrey insisted that I give Matt a foot massage throughout the duration of the short flight,” she said in the court documents. “I never turned down a client but when I saw the shape of his feet, I nearly threw up at the thought of having to touch them.”
Groening’s feet were allegedly so repulsive to her that she eventually employed a washcloth and some warm water to clean them.
“He had yellow crusty toenails that even someone with a chainsaw would’ve had troubles cutting through and then there was the fluffy balls of leftover pieces of sock wedged between the crevices of his sweaty toes, now that was the real icing on the cake for me, no way could I attempt this I thought,” she continued. “Then I had an idea. I went to the back of the plane and rinsed a wash cloth in warm soapy water and returned for his dreaded foot massage but not before attempting to clean them first.”
